Binding for ar6/size

im gonna be skiing ar6...im 5'7" and weigh 140. i will be skiing probably 80 percent park. i've decided to centermount the skis. i was wondering two things. what binding to mount them on. and what size of ski.

these are what i think so far:

-bindings seems like fks are good, or px12 (from what i've seen)

-171 for skis.

 
I'd go 176 on the skis at least, your big enough and they will definitely be better in the park, longer is more stable

I have p12 jibs on my AR5's and they kick ass, the fks's are supposed to be good too, either way you can't really go wrong. Deadbolts are another great option if you can find them, din range of x-12 would probably be good since you don't need that high of a din for park, plus you are fairly light.

I would mount them fairly close to center given how much park you do, maybe 2 cm back from true
 
I wouldn't necessarily listen to the people saying 176. I'm the same dimensions as you and ski the 171 at -2.5 from center. They are the best park ski I've skied at that dimension and mount point. Maybe if you've skied longer skis in the past you might want the 176, but I would go 171, and I wouldn't center-mount. +2 or +3 from recommended is fine, and the ski will ski MUCH better out of the park because of it.
 
naw dude i like my 171's they fit me fine..i dunno im not one for longer skis and i felt like these fit me fine...plus they only had 171's left on christy sports for 250 couldnt pass it up
 
Don't bother with the center mount. -2 is good. I speak from experience.
 
yeah i have markers right now im my karmas, they blow. so px12 sounds like it would work fine, but it sounds like it doesn't matter too much.

even though you guys say not to centermount them, i want a really good park ski so i think im gonna. and yeah sounds like 176 is better then 171 (for a centermount), so i'll probably go with that.

as for boots im thinking of getting spks or foils. my foot is wider than most, and both those sound great, although the foil boots seem to get less complaints then spks. what do you guys htink?
 
You're retarded if you think center mounting a ski makes it a "better park ski". Look at what the Armada pros mount their skis at on the armada website....none of them center mount. Get the 171, mount it -2 or -3 from center, and don't listen to hype.
 
dont rule any boots out try every single boot on in your size even krypton rampages or any other soft-midflex boot
 
i don't have any big ski shops that have park boots for trying on, and the big one that is an hour drive away i think might be out of supplies by now.

as for the whole centermounting thing, i already have some volkl karmas mounted back so i have a ski for doing other stuff, i want a true park ski.
 
uh i just found a pretty damn good deal if i get 171 skis instead of 176...think its worth it? for centermounting, im 5'6"
