Binding brakes

can you bend wide binding brakes to fit a smaller ski width???. like the wide brakes for the bindings for the new scratch 120s to fit like an 83 size ski???

Why would you ever want to bend brakes smaller... it doesn't matter if they're wider than the ski. Only if they're too narrow to fit.

i wouldnt worry about it unless you notice them scraping. otherwise, just go to your shop. they very well have some skinny brakes to fit yur bindings. i mean how many ppl buy bindings with fat brakes for their skinny skis. not many. but compare that to how many people buy skinny bindings for their fat skis, then buy brakes. you might get a pair for free.

man noone wants to help me. ill ask once more.

would it effect the carving if i were to ski with 95-100mm brakes one a 83mm(center) ski??

I'm bumping this old thread since I don't want to make a new one and I still want to hear this question answered....

My situation is very similar. I'll be putting brakes that have been bent to 110mm on my Dumonts at center. (No I didn't buy wide brakes for my park skis, I took the bindings off a pair of lizzies and I already have better bindings for my pow sticks.) Now what are the cons of this? Is there any possibler pros?

Thanks for the responses...

shouldn't be a problem, just clip ur boots and make sure they don't stick out too much. if they're salomon brakes they'll be easy to bend too.
