looking for binding advice. let me know what you think on these bindings,

Salomon[/b] Z12 Ti Ski Bindings (100mm Brakes) 2011

Atomic[/b] FFG 12 Ski Bindings (90mm Brakes) 2011

Marker[/b] The Squire Ski Bindings (90mm Brakes) 2011

Look[/b] PX 12 Lifter Wide Ski Bindings (90mm Brakes) 2011

Look[/b] PX 12 Jib Wide Ski Bindings (100mm Brakes) 2011

 
salomon and atomic bindings are the same minus brake width.

squire is less reputable than the others, so a no go imo.

looks are rather durable and a decent biding for the price.

salomon and atomic win, either will be fine.
 
none of those, head mojos/tyrolia peak 12's will be lighter and hold up better than all of those!
 
height/weight/din/ability?

a squire might be fine for someone of the appropriate weight, as will the ffg/z12 or px12
 
well then i would have to completely disagree with your take on salomon, the z12 is absolute shit, however, if youre some 13 year old who is barely pushing 90lbs that is another story
 
from what i have seen and apparently a few others have seen, they arent great bindings, there are a few threads on here that agree with me. i am not trying to state an argument, only back up what i said with the words of others as well.

that was a quick skim of z12 in the searchbar. good that you have had good experiences with them, but there are many others who have had the opposite
 
ah, i was gathering my information from 3 years tech experience. I have seen more royal family bindings than solly's.
 
NO Z12's! I am a die hard solly binder guy and I am looking at 7 pairs I own right now. The new toe is just a redesigned quadrax toe which are bad. Go with any driver toe binding (997, 900s, s912/14/16, STH14 DRIVER, sth 16 sth 16 steel) you will not be dissappointed you can find them pretty cheap used in good condition on TGR or in ski town thrift stores. They all be better than the ANY z series binding. If this is not an option for you or you want a new 12 din binder then go with rossi/looks imo older sollys are better than a 12 din new look though
 
fair enough, they arent bad bindings, they just arent as durable and from what i have seen/heard they cant handle the weight
