According to CTV news, Bin Laden sent a another message to Al-Jazeera news for airing.

The message contained a warning of an attack on US soil."plans for the terror attacks are already underway." was annonced.

Bin Laden also said some interesting things."a long-term truce" and "Your President Bush has been misleading you. He has lied when he said that the people are behind him. Opinion polls have indicated that the overwhelming majority of you want him to pull the troops out of our land." was also said in the tape. But the "truce" has not been mentioned.

This is bullshit. This is WHY Al Qaeda is so feared. We MADE Al Qaeda. Bush has lied to us about some things that have happened. The whole situation is fucked up. Al Qaeda is so blown out of proportion of their capabilities. The media portrays Al Qaeda as some guys with turbans that have these "cells" all around the world. Al Qaeda is not what the media claims it to be. I'm so sick of hearing about a group of MAYBE 50 people who are continuing to put so much fear into the world.

The chance of dying in a terrorist attack is unbelievably low. statistically your more likely to die from being struck by lightning. do we all go around scared to hell of lightning? no, most of us don't, and the government sure as hell doesnt send out "lightning safety guides" (they send out guides on how to prevent being attacked by terrorists). The whole terrorism thing is blown totally out of scale. Maybe the truce isnt a good idea, but bin ladens got a weakness. he loves his country more than his life. Maybe if we agreed to pull out and pay for some of the shit we've wreaked in Afghanistan and Iraq, hed turn himself in, or disband Al-Quaida. just something to think about. and dont bother with the "you dont love america comments."

Bush's tactics in Iraq has killed over 100,000 innocent civilians...keep in mind that's more than Saddam killed during his regime and Osama killed in U.S. You think bush can prevent attacks from happening? Do you realize he has accomplished absolutley nothing and at and moment another attack will be conducted on our grounds? We need to make a fucking truce and end this pointless shit

Remember that Bin Laden is offering a "truce".Nothing has been specified yet, but I think its worth listing to.

if he was planning an attack have mentioned it. it's just to get people scared and have a huge amount of security everywhere we go. they're trying to make us all live in fear. i should fear my neighbors or cat killing me than these cheeseballs.

I also love how someone also mentioned bin laden killing thousands of his own people haha. I believe the name you meant was Saddam. It's so funny how everyone connects the two. Before we moved into Iraq, Al Queda wasn't even involved in Iraq at all. There are more terrorists in Iraq NOW than there were BEFORE we moved in.

Just to clarify for all of you morons with your head up your ass: This is not Team America: World Police. Saddam, Bin Laden, and Kim Jong Il are not all ass buddies with each other plotting to destroy the world.

I prefer not to call what is going on in Iraq a "war". For the reason that in the end, someone has achieved victory. There is no possible way that this "war" will ever be won. Muslims (not to generalize who we are fighting as muslims) have fought christians and jews for thousands of years... and some of these conflicts are going on today as well. Do you think that they will quit fighting after only a few years???

If I were Bin Laden I would be pretty pissed too. We are throwing our weight around in the Middle East, where we do not belong. We are trying to force this idea of "freedom" onto people who have no clue what it is. Not to mention "freedom", as we see it in America, doesn't mix well with muslim culture. Religion is king over there. And if you introduce something that conflicts with a religion that has been established for thousands of years, the outcome is not good.

Here is a great analogy:

Lets say that there is a group of highly intellegent Aliens who have been watching the earth for sometime. They do not like the way we run things here in the US. These aliens think they can do a better job so they attack and invaided the US. They overthrew George Bush and Capitol Hill, because they think that they could run things better. You'd be pretty pissed off huh? I know I would. Even though I don't like George Bush, a bunch of aliens coming in and breaking shit and causing chaos would really piss me off.

This is how these people in the middle east feel. Even though that you and I know that Saddam was pretty much a piece of shit, a lot of these people are really pissed off at the US.

Bin Laden and these guys have not always hated the US. They hate us because we try to throw our weight around in the world. This "war" cannot be won. The more we invaid and attack, the more pissed off they get.
 
I love listening to you damn wanna be liberals who have read one book or seen farenheit 911 and now you are all experts on the war on terror. I am not saying i agree with the war or disagree, but i think none of us know a quarter of what we think we know. I also love how everything gets blamed on Bush. Its his fault 911 happened, its his fault a tsunami killed thousands of people and last but not least; damn him for hurricane Katrina!

Bin Laden is so 4 years ago. I saw a news story about this. All the donations from wealthy arabs are going to Al Zakari (sp?) in Iraq and not to Bin Laden anymore. The US intercepted a message from Al Queda in Afghanistan begging the guys in Iraq for money. We have shut down thier bank accounts. You don't think he has been trying to plan attacks for the past 4 years? The threat is no more today than it was yesterday.

Oh, and you guys failed to mention that the new tape offered a peace offering as long as we promise to rebuild Iraq and Afghanistan. There is a small chance for more attacks from Bin Laden, but he is so much weaker now than he was 4 years ago.
 
Where did you get these statistics that Bush's tactics have killed over 100,000 people? Frankly, I think it is bullshit. Yes, there have been a ton of civilian casualties, but most of them are from insurgent terrorist attacks, not from US soldiers killing people. Sadam killed countless people during the 20 something years he was in power, 20,000 civilians in ONE gas attack. How about all the people Sadam killed in the Iraq-Iran war. I'm sure that the people of Iraq loved Sadam. Surely before we took him out of power Iraqis lived a happy life with flowery meadows and rainbow skies and, and rivers made of chocolate where the children danced and laughed and played with gumdrop smiles.

Im really not sure to think about this, I have my doubts that Alquai da will get an attack close to the size of 9/11 and if they did why would they tell the world? There just trying to make Americans live in fear.

if that was a joke it was in terrible taste, if not i hope you one day realize how terrible it is to wish for a nuclear holocost, if the middle east was turned into a nuclear waste land all the radiation in the atmosphere would spread over the planet and give everyone cancer
 
If a massive nuclear explosion happened in the middle east, you can count on a gigantic cloud of radioactive material encircling the world for 100 years.

I simply use my brain and think on my own and come up with my own ideas, rather than digest everything that people and the government tell me. Personally I don't even like Michael Moore.

I know I'm churning the pot of shit by saying this; but I really believe 9/11 was part of a conspiracy. From my own conclusions and scientific evidence, I believe that there was assistance in 9/11 by the government. If you haven't seen Dylan Avery's film, "Loose Change", you should. At first when I saw it, i thought it was another radical idea thrown out there by some other college students that will give people like me a bad name. But it did make me curious. So I began to check the facts myself. And sure enough most of what this dude was saying is for real. Avery really did his homework. Now there are certain parts of the film that are poor examples, but aside from those, the over all idea makes perfect sense. And basically only one part has to be proven for the others to be proven too too.

Just remember: A government unchallenged is a government un checked. If you go around believing everything that comes from their mouths, sooner or later they will take advantage of you. There is nothing wrong with being skeptical and asking questions.

... and who's to say that this new bin laden tape is actually bin laden. There is software out now that you can use to copy people's voices with only a 5 - 10 minute recording of his or her voice. Don't have to believe me... just something to think about...
 
what is the difference between war and terrorism? Bin Laden did declare war on america back in the 90s. does that make 9/11 justified? Fuck no.
 
yea the initial shock wave and explosion will destroy within that range...but the delayed fallout of a nuke would effect a huge region beyond 100 miles with radioactive rainstorms, o zone decay, and an increased risk of cancer....i can keep on going...
