Billy goat 110 mounting point

on the on3p website they don’t say where the recommended mount point is on the bg 110.

does anyone know what it is? Kinda would like to know before I cop a pair for the Southern Hemisphere season.

that's a lot of nose out front.. are you even considering skiing or landing switch ? if so that's way far back. maybe like 1/2 of those measurements

I won’t really be skiing switch heaps in these skis cuz they are going to be mostly a powder ski. So I’ll probs stick with the recommended.

If landing switch, the answer isn’t to mount a directional ski way forward, it’s to not get a directional ski in the first place, and get something more appropriate for that intended use.

For ON3P, if you’re skiing switch regularly, you should be on a Jeffrey / Mango.

You could probably pull a switch landing on a Woodsman, but less than ideal, and probably want to revert back to fwd quickly. BG / Wren are fully directional.

Sidecut for any shape performs best when mounted at recommended.

You can wiggle + / - 2cm from the line and generally be fine, but go further and you’re putting screws outside the binding mat - bad idea, if you like your bindings staying attached.

So to ski switch on a BG, your only choice is to mount at recommended, but backwards ;)

If you're not planning on landing or skiing switch, WTF are you doing on this site? I haven't skied a pair of skis more than -3 in 15 years.

That's why the BG is a TGR ski and it's exceedingly rare to hear anyone talk about it here.

I think that it is ok to have a directional pow ski. Different skis for different conditions.
 
Full stop on where to mount any billygoat. The RES makes the mount on the BG family very specific. Mount it on the line.

i did for 20 years. Sucks. I go switch every run even in pow. All my skis are mounted 2.5 back of dead center. I like it better for regular turns too.

It doesn't matter. Mount it on the line or get a Jeffrey. People buy the BG for the RES, mounting it forward makes will really fuck with the characteristics of the ski.
