I got a 6-banger(modified 4-banger) right now for freeride/dh. im ordering this bike (specialized P1) for urban/freeride/dirt jumps tomarrow with upgraded fork and some other shit. Im also buying a DH bike sometime in the next few weeks - either a Big Hit. Giant DHteam or bullet.

i fucking hate gears now. took derailer off the other day cause it was giving me so much shit, and last night i was riding around and the rear derailer fucked up, completely wraping the chain around the hub couple times and completely jamming it in with the spokes. i dotn know how im gonna get it off, cause i cant take my wheel off the bike to take the casset off to free the chain.

ya if i break the chain i can get the wheel off the bike. i tried pulling it out for 20 min yesterday, but the chain is locked with the spokes where they connect the hub - i was going like 20mph when it completely locked up and skidded for like 10 feet so its jammed in there to hell - half the chain is wraped around in there

MP, I too have had the same thing happen. Chewed up the spokes pretty good and I had to replace them. I always make sure my deralieur is adjusted perfect now so that doesn't happen. Your drive side spokes are probably super chewed up. That is gonna weaken the wheel so much. Any of you guys ever build your own wheels?

 
I've got a Devinci Hucker. Mainly dirt jump and urban stuff but hit up the DH everynow and then.

I ride a 24 le toy 3. set up for street and dirtjumps.. i have specialized big hit for dh and freeride.. i gots the skills.

I ride a Norco Charger XC bike that is kindof more of a trials bike now due to my upgrades but the forks still suck as I've blown them out completely 3 times and I still haven't adjusted my brakes to my new rim. But yeah, I've uprgrades to some stronger parts while still keeping it incredibly light so it's not too shabby. I don't ride much but I love to take pics and I use it to go places.

AlpineShopVT has the best ride. le toys are pimp. my friend has his le toy pimped with a monster t, mag 30's and kooka cranks. nicest ride around.

and mammothpunks, thats a nice ride especially for $500

as for me, i ride a dmr sidekick with psylo and mammoths. not too shabby. i got it set up for urban/trials, although its gettin a bit too heavy for hardcore trials. i think im gonna get myself a 20 incher (probably a 2002 ONZA T-Pro)
