Biggups to BackCountry.com

Well, I have been buying stuff for several years from bc.com and I just wanted to write this to say:

Backcountry is continually carrying the best products at the best price and I would NEVER look anywhere else first when it comes to outdoor gear. I just bought a watch battery from them. Yes, a watch battery. I know that sounds odd, but its a weird battery, for a weird watch and of course they had it! It is for my awesome Suunto Vector and not only did they have the best price($6), but they shipped it 2 days for half cost. Little things such as this are why I will keep coming back!

I LOVE the:

people

service

products

website

basically everything about backcountry.com

no, I don't work there, however, I do work in a similar industry and know its hard to come by companies as eager to please as them.

keep it up backcountry!

im actually not surprised they carry batteries for sunnto watches, the ski shop i work at carries their watches and batteries

agreed, backcountry has been nothing but legit, always go there first when im lookin for something. I've had to call in a warranty too and they honored it and made the whole process unbelievably easy

they are literally unbelievable, I had some trouble with one of their products and while I was "chatting with a professional" the guy was sick, just kept asking me how school was going and how I was liking salt lake.. and i get 30% off there :)

The guy who says they are walmart of the skiing world has no idea what he's talking about.I've always had great experiences ordering from them, and their affiliate sites. There's quite a few good online ski shops and BC is among the best.

people who buy gear and return it every season are such a tiny percentage of their market. its just gets written off as a tiny expense, their number one selling product for like forever is that stereotypical girls northface fleece.

ya i could see that but like when someone returns $1000 worth of like skis and they order new ones wouldnt that be like giving them the skis for free. because you would pay full price for your first pair but the get like another so many for free, right?

they make a LOT of money. last thing theyre worried about is some ski bum returning a pair of skis illegitimately, it makes better business sense to have the policy and deal with some people that take advantage of it, because it brings so much business on the grounds of "well if i fuck this up they will take it back ZERO questions asked". in the end the policy gains them more money than it does lose them money.

Yo. We are definitely stoked to see you all stoked.
What we really hate is saving up our hard earned money to buy gear that doesn't end up working for us. There is nothing worse than throwing down a couple hundred bucks only to realize that what you bought isn't going to work for you. Especially at the moment that you realize that you will have a hard time selling it and you are "stuck" with it.
For that reason we offer the return policy. We don't offer it as a substitute for a manufacturers warranty. We don't offer it so that you can buy new skis every year in return for the ones you purchased the year before (although as you have all noted, that definitely does happen..as much as we don't like it).
We offer it because we hate hating gear and the last thing we want is for you to hate yours! We want you to feel comfortable buying skis online, so the last thing we want is for you to have any doubt in your mind that you won't like what you buy. So don't hesitate, go to backcountry.com and buy some of that new gear you have been eyeing! There is no risk involved if you can return what you don't like!
I am sorry, as many of you now know, that the discount code I was able to offer last year is no longer working. Hopefully now that the economy is recovering our vendors will become more reasonable and allow us to discount their gear a little more often. Luckily our stuff is already priced more competitively than most places you can shop!
Be sure to remember, even though I no longer have a discount code for NS, you can still hit me up if you need specific help with something on the site!
