For all you who dont know about Andre Nickatina, hes a rapper out of the bay whos been in the game for decades. Listen to these two songs from his 1992 album The New Jim Jones. They have a striking resemblance to Biggies two singles that sent him to stardom off his 1994 album two years later.. hmmmmmm.. best part is nickatina even time stamps the ave with "dre dog-92" at the end

andre is sick.

people reuse beats all the time though. unless youre the DJ and you claim it as your own, who cares if you use someone else's beat. thats just how hip hop goes.
 
wow, i thought that biggies beat would be a little different but i was surprised how little he changed it
 
wow shocker. the rap game being unoriginal? since when!? i mean i've only heard about twenty songs where people rip off wu-tang...
 
First things first, if anyone "stole" beats it was probably Biggie's producers. That's like saying you thought CL Smooth was stealing Guru's beats, that just sound's stupid.

Did Andre produce his own beats or did he have someone making them for him?
 
wow. thread surprised me. it's obviously not that big of a deal though seeing as andre never pressed charges or anything like that. and it's a possibility they even got his consent

The big poppa one is so damn similar. The thing is when I listen to it i just feel like hes remixing a biggie song and not doing it as well as biggie did. even though I know nicki did it first. weird how you become so used to a song you can accept it any other way.
 
that is pretty crazy considering those two songs are a major part of why biggie is famousbut it really doesnt make me think any less of biggie because i like him for his ability to rap in a way that makes the beat sound good too. so basically all this does is make me have more respect for andre, who i liked anyways so in the words of biggie "its allllll gooooood"
 
ya i know it wasnt biggie that literally stole it i guess thatd be diddy but jsut pointing out his hit songs are from someone else. and ya andre used a sample from someone else but the fact that biggie then used it without nicky nicatines consent is fucked. and in an interview i read when asked about it andre just said ya i dont really care he took the beats i dont rap cause im trying to make it big and get famous i do it cause im fuckin good at it.... hard fuckin body god of khan goes so hard

wtf are you talking about? hes looked at as one of the best rappers to ever come from the bay he has a whole album with mac dre hes definitely known
