That jump spot is the main reason why I'm into freestyle skiing.... Mike Zarconi, Derek Finn, Blanton, and Cartledge... As gaper as this clip looks this shit was next level for any of us and I was super intimidated to even go near that jump and those guys. Skiing has come a long way!
But I think Dingess has the record for biggest invert at BMBW.

I think we should petition BMBW to build a permanent jump in the same spot. Perfect viewing for us gapers riding the lifts..
Back then, it was illegal to do any inverts and they would chase you down and take your ticket. Just ask Heff ! At least they would let you jump at the time of the video. Now it can be down rite entertaining to watch the " that looks easy, I can do that " crowd.
I am beyond waiting, no I am now limping, cause guess what I got 1 day in and at least 47 more to go to beat last year. Game on Baby.

same here, good times. i remember being blown away by some dspin 7s taken almost to the flats, circa 2000-01, opened my eyes forsure.

i remember seeing kids when i was like 5 hittin that jump that was like a foot taller than i was doing 7's fist hit! blew my mind !!

Both Fritz and Finn backflipped screamined that jump on mogul skis. Fritz also did a screamin 3 about as big... Clay did a double screamin on 203s. Nate, Klem, And Shultz also did left and right 7's the majority of the way down Grizzly off of a head high cheese wedge. This was for the most part 98-00 (Brandywine a bit earlier), as just about everyone was on the yellow Harts or some other mogul ski.

I see those as far above what goes on at Brandywine (and most midwest parks) to this day.

Jerry probably also remembers the sideshow Nate put on at one of the mogul comps... took it about 3x bigger than anyone at the big airs this season.

Really not bashing the park skiers out there today so don't take it the wrong way.

Dizzy,

Jerry who? O'connor (sp?) Nate (?)

I'm sure I know who you're talking about, it's just been about 13 years that's all...

Biggest air (not invert) I've ever seen at BM was a kicker built in 94 or 95 just below the top of Tiger's initial drop. Full speed and you could launch full force into a field of icy buried VW's at your own peril.

Plake hit a similar jump on his stop there on his "down home tour" in the mid 90's and tossed a wicked 7.

Bumpers rule.

not to be a dick, but get in line.

The amount of busted K2 Extremes I saw at BM on North Bowl alone during the late 90s was enough to turn me off to that brand for life. I think they came with duct tape standard on the tips.

Nice, we had fun on that jump for a few years. The footage I posted was filmed about 3-4 years before the green 1080s were released. Derek had a pair of prototypes the season before their mainstream release.

BM Skier,

Yeah, that's the Jerry I'm speaking of.

Nate Dent, Fritz Franz, Clay Pickering, and Brian Klem were the others. Ryan Smas and Jason Long were in on that fun as well.

fuck yah, that used to be the PROVING ground back in the day. can't forget about bill when you mention smas and jason too. i remember zarconi sending that on some twin tip/twin capped elan's haha. good stuff.

I remember being real young watching old the older guys send that shit and I thought it was the craziest thing ever

i remember the first backflip i ever saw was on that jump and i couldn't believe it. it still is pretty ridiculous when you look back on that video and see how huge that was and know that you would still get mad props from everyone today if you did it even over 10 years later.

dingess may have the biggest invert ever but i dont think it counts when you fall off lift 5 halfway up.

Dingess holds the title to biggest hospital air in the history of mills. Chair 5 to flat.

Justin Modlick may take the award for highest B.A.C. invert. If I get around to filiming the television again I will upload it. He denied doing a backflip dump chute for weeks until he actually saw himeslf on film doing one.

^scary stuff.

damn this is a really cool thing to read.i'm glad you guys are all into this.
i wish there was some old timers from Alpine that I could play this game with.

Hit that shit up tonight... some things never change at the mills.

Cold Beer.

fat bastard ski patrolers .

And one of the most fun semi natural setups for a jump I've come across in the 40+ ski areas I've been to.
