Biggest College Football Rivals

What do you guys have to say.

My two favorite are Michigan vs. Michigan State, and Pitt vs. Penn State.

 
Virginia tech vs UVA. i goto VT so im biased tho. actually everyone in the ACC right now seems to hate us. were #3 in the nation biatch. if USC or texas slips up hellloooo rose bowl.
 
michigan/ohio state or auburn/alabama

maybe florida/florida state

i think wisconsin/minnasota is the oldest running rivialry
 
Is that like the big sky conference or something? Cause i doubt that everyone will agree that is not the biggest college football rivalry.

Just because I go to Pitt doesn't make me biased. So far i'm likeing the top choices are Michigan-OSU, Pitt-PSU, and Army-Navy.

Forgive me, but this is actually to help me write a paper.
 
Guy i'm talking rivalries where:

-Tailgating at 4AM before the game

-Things are set on fire

-People drink themselves into a coma if they lose.

-The players get A's the rest of the semester if they win.

-People are mortally wounded.

-Marching bands get into fights.

-Chancelors make humiliating bets on their teams.
 
GOPHERS!! badgers. i cant believe we just gave that game away a couple weeks ago. im not even really mad anymore now that edinger made his career long field goal to beat the packer. fuck wisconsin and their stupid cheese
 
Ohhh you must be so bitter that sports teams in Minnesota don't cut it any more. Let's see Timberwolves, Vikings, Twins, University of Minnesota... It's ok man, maybe in 10 years you can start pulling some games off and not CHOKE.
 
fuck the Griz go Cats. And grubix2 it is a big rivalry buy not many people know about it since its division 1-AA. And Pitt-PSU really isn't that big. Its just is big to you because you go there.

Seriously thought the biggest are probably OSU-Mich, Okla-Neb, Florida-Florida State, Auburn-Alabama

I have to include my own school's rivalry in the paper. That just wouldn't be right if i didn't. And the Pitt-PSU rivalry may not be the biggest but it's one of the oldest, goes back before there was football.
 
i dunno man WVU seems to set shit on fire no matter what the outcome. Maryland is getting like that too. when the two teams play we've dubbed it the couch burning bowl lol
 
I am from the Burgh and I love Pitt and thier is a rivalry, but it is not football in nature...at least not anymore...they hardly ever play, if ever...it is mostly a recruiting rivalry for athletes and students alike...in other sports it is a good rivalry but not football so much anymore...I have to go with Michigan vs Ohio State...hand down

as a buckeye, i can definatly say OSU vs michigan. shit gets out of control. i usually hate football, but that game is INTENSE!!!
 
any rival game is great but some good ones always are Michigan vs OSU, FSU vs Miami, and a smaller scale but Yale vs Harvard aka THE GAME,

Penn State vs Ohio State. Im not sure if anyone was at the game last year but it was one of the most intense games in happy valley history.
