everyone needs to check out this website. I was in Laax Switzerland on the weekend and they had this huge air bag thing that u go off a jump and land on the bag, its like the one they use for stunt doubles when they jump off the roofs of buildings.

anyways is was amazing and i learned tricks that i never would try on snow. Personally i found it even better than water ramps.

check it out

yeah i thought the same thing about the edges destroying it. but they are specifically made for that reason so edges are no problem. the only thing is they dont let you use poles, but im sure if you were really serious about this shit you could make some poles that couldnt puncture that shit.

and if anyone is interested in buying one, i looked on the website, they are only about 17 thousand euros! ahaha

i think a foam pit would be better because with the bag you still have a chance of hurting your neck if you land on your head. with a foam pit u can dive hesd first in and not feel anything. its still cool though

you probably actually have more of a chance of hurting your neck in foam. cuz you stopp onceyou sink in. in an airbag you would roll around a little

i got to session one of those in Les deux alpes france. SO SICK. theres video in my profile if anyone wants to check it out. got to try alot of things id been learning on tramps with my skis on without fear of breaking myself. it was huge for gaining the confidence to throw my first inverts on snow. all the major north american resorts should have this, there would be so much demand to use it.

dont be a pussy, just throw it anyway, if you commit you are going to come close enough to landing to probably not get hurt in my opinion. Landing on a big airbag isn't going to teach you how to stomp shit on the snow

bounce much?

why would i risk "probably not getting hurt" when i couold FOR SURE not get hurt. plus the biggest risk about throwing a new trick is the first couple times you try it. this takes all that away.

it is an amazing learning tool, i think we would have better skiers all over the world if there was more access to these things.

and its definetly better than a foam pit, you cant just make one of those at the bottom of a jump when you want to, plus they suck to get out of.

Guess what? The dude that sells those things is Dutch. And we're gonna have 3 of them in Holland for the indoor funparks gnagnagna :p

Marcel has got one of his own, which Snowplanet sometimes uses. And there's the rumour that Snowworld Zoetermeer bought one.

Cool idea i guess...

only concern i have is if they start poopin up in parks is makin sure the bag is clear b4 droppin in enough n e one if the public can use it!
