Big Strides

Now that they’ve been out for a month or so now, what does everyone think? Thinking about buying them when black drops but feel like I haven’t seen enough of them on snow yet and would hate to blow 200 dollars just to not like them. Would love to hear everyone’s pros and cons with them as well as what size you own just to compare

got silver very nice, id say get whatever size you normally wear, they are baggy and comfortable but not compelte ballonss

I’m 6’2 175 and wearing 2XL. They’re most definitely big and could probably get away with XL. My only beef is that the elastic cuffs are super loose even over my boots, got a couple small rips in the ankle on the first day of hiking a rail. otherwise the material is really nice and waterproof and pockets are nice.

I got a Large in the green colorway and haven’t had a chance to wear them on hill yet but the fit is great. I will say definitely don’t size up from the size chart cause mine are a bit too baggy, cuff gaiters don’t fully sinch down around boots.

Waterproofing is on point. I have like slightly less than 10 days on snow with em. And my ceiling leaks and decided to put some water on em. They held up.

Pocket situation is crazy. The double waist pockets should be adapted by all ski pants in the future. For sure Id want Zips on all pockets going forward (weird but it makes me feel safe) but the two zips do the job and can carry the extra shit you wouldn't care about losing too much in the velcro pockets.

Waist Tie, I havn't used as i sewed my own belt (modeled off R3) which is working fine. But looks better than answer pants.

Bag and steeze is def nailed.

Venting could be better, but ive been hiking rails on like 20 deg days and you only get hot on the up.

Cuff elastic could be a sinch but that would add some $$ id bet. They work fine rn.

bumping this thread because of this. I'm 5'9 and would love the 2XL bagginess but I'm kind of sketched by the cuff gaiters people are talking about. Has anyone found any good fixes?

Just judging by how the large fits on me at 5’8 i would say 2X would be ridiculously, impractically baggy. I reached out to Dan on IG and he recommended sewing the cuffs tighter together and even offered to help me (super nice of him) but I think putting elastic cinches in is the most practical way to fix this, will post results when I do it this week.

I have pretty much zero sewing experience, only experience I have is some belt loops on my old pants, is there like a video tutorial or anything? Appreciate the insight I'll probably stick to 1X.

Best bet is probably just to message Dan on IG

Have you looked that the fit guide on the @arsenicanywhere profile highlights? If not, start there.

based on feedback I’m getting please don’t order 2xl lol. Xl or even large is more appropriate for someone 5’9”

I named em Big Strides for a reason ?

thanks for your interest! And hmu if I can help more

See size guide in my story highlights. Based on what I’ve seen and heard. Most people your height are happy with large or medium. Please don’t get xl
