Super surprising and disappointing to see this… when Taft came to springs a few years back all the boys were so chill and were just classic, goofy TC boys that carried good vibes and had a good sense of humor.

Fr but What can ya do man? It’s what zero pussy does to a mf ?‍♀️

Nah wasn’t me, also dude get this... I posted a clip of me doing that same trick except 360 out, my friend tagged Andy Parry from Line Skis in it.. he was thinking Andy would think it was cool, and he just comments “That’s not even close to a hippie killer” like a total douche.. I deleted his comment and any respect I once had for him and Line. So now we call it a Parry Killer ???

You’re spinning the wrong way for a hippie killer. Mid trick tbh

All the tell a friend tour people are complete bums except Patrick Ring. Homie actually talked to people and road with them, backed me up on some tricks also. Was disappointed cause I like Will Wesson’s style and wanted to ride with him

Tell a friend tour has really died down in the past years. Now its just like they show up and ride get some clips and not really chat with the crowd. I do remember Ian Compton being super chill at one I went to at Trollhaugen years ago tho

Had a hell of a time ripping with jimbobs the last two times I went. He's really fucking tall, he'll be hard to miss

Just learned lip ons to switch hiking the jerry box for 2 hours so that’s cool. Probably seen some of y'all here today but idk who’s who

Nice! I need to get back asap to keep my lip on sharp for next season lol

The do seem to be more concerned about getting their clips than interaction and riding with the kids.

I do talk to Andy for a few minutes at every one I've been to and was excited to meet Taylor at Troll this year. It was a little annoying though because when I was talking to her she had her earbud in and had to keep asking me to repeat myself. Zoning out to your music is for when you're on your own not at an event that requires you to be interacting and skiing with everyone!

Awesome! New tricks for the upcoming season

I wished the Twin Cities area had a place like this.

I think I saw you. That place was packed as hell lol

it gets kinda nutty on weekend days. Were they being nazis about the bar on the lift again? Last weekend they would literally stop the lift to yell at us after loading if we didn't put the bar down. Kinda completely absurd tbh

Yeah they were a little annoying about it. We wouldn’t argue and would just put it down but lift kept stopping so often, not sure if that was why. Sometimes for more than 5 minutes.

the most annoying part was they closed the down tube off at like 3-4 probably. Because the lip was getting bad. Park crew fixed it but just let it sit there with fencing to “let the snow freeze” which didn’t make any sense because that snow isn’t going to change unless you add water to it. Their reasoning was because it was apparently a “liability” and “it got too bad”… well then keep throwing snow in it when it gets worn back down lol. the lip wasn’t even that bad just got lower and worn down obviously, super annoying how they just gave up on it and honestly killed the flow of the run and vibes for the rest of the evening.

i won’t complain too much tho the setup was pretty stacked and it was a lot of fun riding again

From what I heard, someone may have fallen off the lift so they’re being really strict about enforcing bar down now.

I rolled out around 1:30PM because the line was ridiculous and I just wanted to hit that one box. Conditions are usually pretty mint first thing in the morning but stuff gets tracked out and bombholed by the afternoon, especially on busy days. Honestly not too bad compared to literally any other east coast ski spot. Never heard of them giving up on running a feature though. That’s wack.

Here right now and they just reopened the tube

It felt like they shaped that lip every hour when I was there. They should of just left it alone in my opinion. No lip is better than a super duper soft one. Also I am going back again around the 13th of August. HMU if anyone trynna shred.

Yeah, I bet. That glamorous TC van life probably goes right to your head

If anything the tc was a great experiment on mental health. One could easily imagine how living in a van with a bunch of smelly ski bums would turn you into a reclusive depressed zealot but they actually went out and proved it. Hats off

How bad is it to drive in that area?

It's really fucking awful, getting to big snow via the highways is pretty okay as long as you don't go during rush hour. But if you need to drive anywhere in the immediate area when you're there expect to want to pull your hair out.

I really don't know how anybody lives in NYC or that NJ area near big snow.

long island, frequently drive over that way for Six Flags. Traffic is typical for NY metro area.

80 east is a constant racetrack for albanian bmw owners

wish I could, I've been having some hand troubles lately and I'm not sure when the next time I'll be able to make the 7 hr drive is :(

When I went I’d initially booked a 1030 session but overslept and they were really flexible and bumped me up to 230 when I actually got there and I skied until 6 bc nobody cared to check my pass

Anyone know good times to book slots on the weekend? Assuming mid morning/early afternoons are packed

Bumping this - thinking about driving up to Big Snow this week. Trying to maximize my ski time for a single day... can I buy several 2-hour "single-visit experience" tickets? (e.g., one from 12-3pm and another one from 3-6pm?)

Yeah pretty sure you can do that. When i went we just hiked for like 2 hours at the end. You can get a few laps after your time too depending on who’s scanning
