Big snow in the NW this week?

Weather Channel just showed a huge storm system moving in from the northern pacific.

Biggest deal was it said it's carrying a lot of cold air, could move the highest snowing elevation down from 6000 ft to below 4000...with maybe OVER A FOOT of snow for some places in oregon and washington...

is anyone catching a piece of this??

it's exciting, winter is definitely on the way!

I don't think the accumulation was very noteworthy, because i heard about the low freezing levels, but not about accumulation the next day.

its too warm for snow. Snow levels in this system (the one you are mentioning) are like 6500'+

It'll be too high for a good while, although dropping somewhat later.

i have been watching and it seems that this year snowfall will be above average....i read a bunch of different weather sites and we are getting "la nina" this year meaning colder and wetter winter in lower elevations and snow in the mts..
