Big sky vs. tahoe

So, in everyone's honest opinion, if you could pick a place for a season, would you pick northstar (at tahoe) or big sky in montana? please help me figure this out.
 
Northstar would be one of the last places I'd choose to spend my winter. If that's your only bet in Tahoe, then definitely Big Sky. If Alpine, Squaw or Kirkwood are possibilities for Tahoe, then go to Tahoe... unless you never wanna leave the terrain park, then maybe Northstar is OK.
 
is northtar your only choice at tahoe. go to squaw or alpine they have so much better terrain. ive never been to big sky but in tahoe you can always find somewhere good to ski
 
basically what these kids said. Northstar is fucking flat but its park is legit. Since I've recently come to the realization that with my new left knee and ridiculously weak right knee, parks are not for me, Northstar is one of my least favorite ski areas ever.

But Big Sky is pretty much heaven on earth. And even though I blew out my left knee there, I might be there next season! I love it.

yup....i havent been to tahoe but ive been to big sky a few times, the only bad thing at big sky is they need a new tram badly, the one they have now is more like a gondala on steroids it holds like 15-20 people about..
 
ya its a pretty rediculous comparison really. big sky is in montana, doesnt have much of a scene from what i can gather, but has a huge amount of terrain and more vertical feet than jackson hole. tahoe, on the other hand, is in california, ya know, as opposed to montana, and actually has a huge amount of backcountry terrain itself (though not as much in northstar) and some pretty rediculous parks too. not a tough choice really
 
....what??? does squaw valley ring a bell? squaw has all kinds of cliffs and natural hits off basically every lift you cant say that big sky beats tahoe for big mountain. no way.
 
yeeah Northstar really lacked some big jumps this year.

My favorite resort in Tahoe is Boreal, its easily the funnest park I've ever ridden.

I've been to both resorts and I say Tahoe for sure. All the people there are really chill, its a really tight community.

Man I miss that place.
 
Iono dude.. Tahoe had a pretty shitty season to be honest. It only had about 5 weeks out of the year where snow coverage was legit whatsoever..
 
Dont get carried away here guys. N*´s park is not even that great. Not to mention over run with park rats with bad attitudes.
 
It may, montana prob get more pow. I have a buddy who has skied at both alot and he likes big sky better.
