Big Sky vs Moonlight

2nded. But if you have to pick between those two, Big Sky has more terrain and bigger jumps, and Moonlight has less people, lower prices, and usually better snow.

I would get a frequent sky card to big sky and a 10 time pass or a season pass to bridger if i had the funds

You're gonna spend more for a Big Sky pass, but you're going to get a hell of a lot more for what you pay for. I have skied a lot at Moonlight this year and its fun, for the first week, after which you get sick of (most of) the terrain. meanwhile, headwaters is dope sauce and lone tree is sick on mid-week pow days.

but big sky has the terrain, period.

lone peak is the only way to go. work hard this summer so you can get one next year cause it is totally worth it. moonlights jibs + big sky's terrain and jumps. can't be beat.

get a 15 at big sky. then make friends who have a moonlight pass. then when they get bored of moonlight. trade them one of your 15 times for a day with their seasons...... then when you run out of big sky tickets, you can stilll buy passes for like 35,

definately. fuck huge terrain, huge VARIETY of terrain, no crowds ever, a super chill laid back atmosphere, a ridonkulously good snow year. fuck that. so lame.

that being said, fuck boyne for sure. but big sky is sick

Word... but not that much variety. I just hate the fluid commitment to anything, Boyne will never really take the steps needed, they have never really been in the black for operations. In terms of them being sold, no one has spelled it out, but my guess would be that Boyne will keep operational lease for at least a couple years and the property is or will be owned by someone else. No one has really announced it. Fla. based development co. supposedly.

Funny Shit up there. FYI on Big Sky, Spanish Peaks, and YC: (I thought the Bozeman Comical did a shitty job explaining this) Blixseth and Jim Dolan started Yellowstone Mnt. Club (now YC), they split and Dolan started SP, Blixseth still owes him some millions, does not want to pay now. Blixseth promised BS that he would deed land to Dakotas and shiz as part of his deals while moving in and trying to keep BS and enviros at bay with a new private ski are next door. Now, Dolan wants $$, and Blixseth has planned to trade out land up there to pay off Dolan... so Dolan wants a chance to build a lift up into liberty bowl. Big Sky is like WTF, sues YC ass, Blixseth says FU; Dakotas could be trespassing if this does not get ironed out. BS is not happy.

as far as big sky vs moonlight, i still haven't been to moonlight but i have skied big sky several times. i was just there last weekend and thought they had some fun, smooth jumps and a nice pipe. not alot of variety for rails or alternative lines through the park, pretty much only one line but the jumps were alot of fun.

ya, im not to factual cua im a little intocicated but there website says they will operate this weekend and until they run out of snow which will be a while. it is supposed to snow this weeknd. there park is sick as hell to. definately make the trip up and take pat_is_a_skier he was saying he needs a ride

so it looks like they are officially open this weekend? probably going to have to make the trip up there. is it pretty much spring snow conditions up there now?

I havent been there since h town. but it is supposed to snow all weekend here in great falls and helena so who knows

Sounds like CNL properties of Orlando is Big Sky's new owner, Boyne holds operational lease for at least two more seasons.

yeah word the place needds work. its sick but with better management it could be waaaaaaay better

can anyone confirm if they are tearing the huntley down?? and if they do will they have the cheap spring package deals again?

Get up. get you. get a job. make that skrilla and buy a big sky pass. its worth every penny. poonlight can suck on my balls
