Big SKy vs. Bridger

I know there is talk on here all the time about the pros and cons of both places. Basically to my understanding Big Sky has-

Higher Prices, Fast Lifts, Sick Terrain, longer drive, and good park

Bridger has

Lower Prices, Slow Lifts, Sick Terrain, short drive, and no park

I start at MSU second semester and don't know what pass i should get. I figure I will wait and ski each mountain once and maybe see if I meet anyone in johnstone or just meet any people to ski with before i decide which one to get. I dont really know anything about moonlight other than it is hooked on with Big sky and you can get one expensive pass for both. Anyone want to throw me any info on the subject?

P.S. where this great divide place I hear of?

Sounds like you have your info pretty dialed in. Two small changes, out of personal opinion, is that Big Sky does not have a good park, they have an ok park. It is fun sometimes, but don't have a picture in your mind of a super sick park or anything. (Bridger technically does have a park, but that is not really worth mentioning. It is essentially a couple boxes and rails, but they can be fun on down days i suppose) As far as terrain goes, I would prefer Bridger's terrain on a pow day and Big Sky's terrain on a groomer day.
Great Divide is a short ways north of Helena. I think it's roughly a two hour drive, but they have a fun park.
If I were to choose a pass between big sky and moonlight, I would go big sky for sure. Moonlight got a little stale after several days riding there last year. However, they do have sick rails, if that is what you are in to.
Riding one day at big sky and one day at bridger could be hit or miss. I've heard some people say that bridger sucks, but that is because they just hit on a down day, so don't judge your one day too critically.
Either way you go, I'm sure you'll have a good season. I had a pass to Bridger last year and was very happy. This year I have a pass to Big Sky due to the fact that a lot of my friends are going there and, I feel, it is more complete; I know a lot of die hard bridger fans will disagree. Big sky is sick on pow days, groomer days, and the park can be pretty fun. Don't get me wrong about bridger though, that place is way sick. I might end up with another pass there in the future. Ok, I feel like I am starting to ramble, so I'm gonna stop this post. Hopefully this info helps....

Bridger is legit...
however, if you end up getting a pass there, you're gonna wish you went to big sky... and vice versa. it's a tough choice. basically it should boil down to what you're looking for.
you've got the specs right on both places... however, in my opinion, big sky owns... hands down.

As an MSU grad, 8 year pass holder at Bridger, 5 year Big SKy pass holder... Bridger!

Big Sky is just overrated, never been anythign but a let down for me. A couple years ago they had a big kicker at the bottom of the park... best days at BS I can remember. The tram is cool and so is Challenger and Shedhorn, but all in all I have never been impressed for more than a couple hours. Park is never up to par. A 30" dump at BS is like Jackson or Bridger getting 15". Ever heard the expression, " I can see your rocks from here," nuff said! ...And the north summit snowfield is shitty, and will never really be a viable place to ski.

Bridger is ill sauce, slow lifts but who gives when you are getting deep turns and solid shots all over. I like the bigger drops in life and solid tranny natural hits, both things that BS really does not have. And Bridger does not have andesitic shale littered on the steeps to tear you up. Bridger is playgroud to me, BS is a pain in my ass.

PS- I also have to pay for a Bridger pass and BS gives me one, you would think I would be partial.
