Hey guys! It's that time of year again, so here's a thread to discuss BS happenings.

Got a pass? Got questions? Maybe someone has an answer.

I'll be working in Montana Jacks all season, and skiing every free hour I have, this season will be my first time there, so super stoked. I also can get super cheap day passes if anyone is interested
 
Was going to get a pass there, but there's no more college pass (I'm 29). Still deciding whether I want a Montana pass, or just buy the April pass when it comes out. Anybody remember what the April pass usually costs? Also, might be impossible for me to ski in April because it's my last semester so I got lotsa projects, etc.
 
still gotta get my pass, and gotta get new skis, probably gonna make the switch to filthy riches this year.

Interested. How super cheap? Because 50% off day passes at Big Sky are still like $200
 
First season switching over from Bridger. Fucking amped, ready for massive laps, park, and a whole new mountain. Show me the way

Not sure what the price is atm but the Montana pass is worth it if you’re interested.

Im making a trip this winter and Im wondering where I can park overnight and sleep in my car. Thanks

bundle up brother, it gets reeeeaaaaaal cold at night. But the free skier parking lot is fine to sleep in
 
Update from skiing yesterday:

Tram is skiing really nice. Like January nice. Lenin, Marx, and the dictators were supposed to open today but liberty was skiing awesome yesterday. Challenger is rocky, but it always is. Skiing really nice for it being opening week though. No park update as I didnt ski it at all. 2.0 looks fun though. Bowl is fun. Getting pretty moguly, but still fun. Excited for more terrain to open.

Any intel on when sheddy opens? Heard andesite opens after the first of the year which means christmas is going to be fuuuuuuuucked so everybody should avoid the holiday extra hard this year.
 
Heading up today after my class so noon-closeish. I'll add more details but i'll most likely be cruising groomers with the lady all day. Come say hi and let's have a beer!

I'll be there saturdays, then most likely monday and wednesday afternoons again until my MT pass turns off :(. Unless somebody wants to hook it up with sick dealzzz on passes :)

Andesite middle of December. Sheddy whenever the fuck we finish it. Could be mid December. Could be January. Who knows.
 
Was hot lapping Swifty yesterday, the kickers on Swifty are so much fun right now, and the trees are pretty snowed in too to the right, not rice bowl though.
 
Damn sounds like nice opening coverage. I’m considering driving up friday because there’s $35 day tickets on liftopia. They doing another discount single day in dec like last year?

More intel: Went skiing Wednesday and it was fucking gr8. Solid coverage. Waiting for the A-Z's to open because they look fucking beautiful right now. Headwaters look less dope
 
Any idea why they're putting the new 8 chair on Ramcharger instead of something like Swify or SoCo? I haven't been back in a few years so I'm not sure if something's changed, but Ramcharger always had the shortest line of the main express lifts from what I remember.

Not knocking the decision or anything just honestly curious. I'm sure Swifty may have been too long or something along those lines. Either way, hope I can make it back soon since I haven't been since I graduated.

2 reasons: the restaurant at the top of andesite, and they moved old ram over to shedhorn cause that lift was in very dire need of replacing.

Pretty burly lift, finally getting mechanical training on it and it's a badass machine. Opens Saturday at 11 woo!
 
I’m taking a trip up there on 3/4-3/5 and was wondering how the conditions are and what runs I should check out on the mountain

Will be up there this weekend with the lady, and maybe the dog. Probably car camping, and skiing Saturday and Sunday. I've ridden bikes up there a fair bit, never skied. Stoked to change that!
 
I might be up there on saturday with the lady too! If you are car camping, bring lotsa warm stuff. It gets chilly overnight
 
anyone see the letter from the GM talking about how IKON pass people dont feel welcome, kinda funny to read. I do hate how crowded it has been every weekend, and how it seems like pow days arent even worth because the amount of painful side cuts are everywhere.
