Soooooo this may be a little early, but with the recent developments about Jesus I thought I would start one.

The whole "Jesus" statue on Big Mountain and is more like a representation of of Papa Muns than Christianity. I do not know if "like"ing this facebook page will do anything, but like Kevin Garnet said...anything is possible.

also if you want to write a quick response to the forest service department about the statue here is the linkhttp://rehberg.house.gov/index.cfm?sectionid=96&sectiontree=2,96

and here is a youtube video of Rehberg talking about the tall tee wearing jesus

...anywho enough politics hopefully people have been going to premieres in whitefish and supporting the local community. We lost a good one over the summer, but I know A-Rob is going to make it dump this winter for us. Hope everyone has a great fall and takes advantage of the early snow.

4 things:
-STOKED for the season-RIP Arob, had a super fun time shreddin with him in the past. He's probably up there gettin awesome pillows every day. -I hope they leave the statue. As a kid I never knew what it represented. Well, I guess I just thought it represented skiing, and that was ok by me. -STOKED for the season

I know it's not much, but it is a start!

It just felt good to be back on skis and honestly charging on groomers in the sunlight.

I am teaching my gf to ski so we spent the morning on 6 and then migrating to 3. Once we got her confidence up we moved to the backside.

Snow is real scarce on the mountain right now with limited runs. Runs like Blackbear and Marmont closed due to so much shrubbery. You could charge down them, but it may be rock skis. Backside off piste was soft but not a lot of cover. The entire frontside was roped off, but there were some people ducking and hitting up East Rim/Moose Area which looked decent. We really need a big dump.

I havent rode since the weekend but the snow reports 2 new inches every couple of nights so keep that in mind.

LSS It may not be ideal conditions, but it is skiing. Pray for snow.

Any update with snow? How's the mountain been recently? I may be going down there for a session in a few days and want to know if it's worth it.

Honestly, it's not that great. They are starting to get more of the mountain open but they've got a long way to go. The forcast for the next few days does look good though.

Holy shit, its starting to dump. 9 inches since yesterday and this week looks like its going to be snowing all week. Ill have to get up there soon! Today prob would have been pretty good, its windy as hell here in Polson tho. Anyone going up today?

So sick today.

Snow finally started falling here in Whitefish this week. This is a little taste of the fun we're having...

Heading home to the Flathead here in a week or so for the rest of the winter.
Stoked to shred with all you Big Mountain peoples. See you soon.

Anybody get some points for the game of G.N.A.R today?

I saw Andy Mahre up there and told him the facts that I am a way better skier than him.

Anyway back to business...we have a great base but need more accumulation. The sun was great the past week or so!

The conditions are great. Backside snow is still nice and soft. Frontside off piste can get a little icy but groomers are a blast. Park is great. It will def be worth the trip in my opinion.

God I really hope they don't do that. It would be such a waste, better to try and put her in some new terrain than wasting that money accessing an area that already has the easiest access.

I remember hearing about this like 3-5 years ago.

Any who had a great day up today lots of high fives and smiles! Stoked on this storm!

last two days have been SICK! been finding some really good snow up there, especially yesterday.

Anyone tryin to do a little hiking/sidecountry this weekend? I'll be skiing by myself tomorrow and sunday and I know avy danger is pretty sketch right no so I'm not exactly trying to ski anything very dangerous. maybe just dip into the canyon a little bit and hit up taylor creek. I just would rather not be doing this by myself, so anyone with avy gear who's interested should get at me. message me on here or holler at me on the slopes. I will be wearing a green armada jacket, black helmet, dark grey pants and will be riding bentchetler's.

Whats up guys, i figured id go ahead and throw up my first go pro video here since it was filmed on big a few days ago.

comments and criticism are welcome. Just a very short vid to try my camera out.
