Big Mountain Skis -- Rossi vs Dynastar

I'm looking to get a new pair of big mountain skis this season and want to choose the best ski between these two companies (yes I am aware that they are essentially the same). I would prefer a directional ski on the longer side that will float in pow, power through the crud, stay stable hauling ass, and be manuverable enough for trees. I also have a nack for finding every exposed rock on the hill so something with a solid base and strong edges.

Like i said, I would prefer a directional ski, but if you have good things to say about the scratch or big trouble I'll hear it. I am 6'4 180lbs and have been on pocket rockets (great ski btw) but want something stiffer. And I ski Tahoe and Mammoth mostly to give you an idea of the terrain.

Basically, this is a B-Squad vs. Legend showdown.

Lets get it on...

Both the B-Squad and Legend Pro aren't the best floaty skis, but fit the bill everywhere else. Legend Pro XXL will fix your floatation problem, but might be a tad big in the trees. Though you are 6'4". I wouldn't waste your time here though, go search over at TGR where this debate has been going on for years. Seriously there must be at least a dozen threads comparing the 2 and a dozen more each on reviews.

the bombsquads are stiffer with a true straight tail. the legend pros are kind of turned up and what i hear are a little more versitale than the squads, i think they have more sidecut too. i have only skied the squads ....

ill tell you they have no speed limit and smooth out what ever you are skiing on. dont expect to carve on them all you can do is put them on edge and hold on.... unless its pow pow.

if your looking for something that is really good in trees from dynastar but still offers the width your looking for, check out the Legend 8800. Pretty sweet ski if i do say so myself.

I'll probably get mad heat for that but IMHO the legend 8800 is a sweet ski. Legend Pro is whole lotta ski and is a great pow ski too though.
