Big Mountain Riders?

Hey I'm new on here and I was wondering if there was anyone on here that rides big mountain? I'm at Copper most of the time, but I go to Vail, the Basin, and Snowmass quite a bit too. Lemme know.

i ski a lot all over copper. but i've never done any backcountry stuff.

I ski big mountain more than anywher else. I love the back bowls at Copper. It needs to snow so they can open soon.

Over time, most people experience life involving love, sufffering, compassion and an uspeakable drive for something new... for me there's skiing, nothing more nothing less and it encompasses everything, every day I'm out there.

i dont think that i would call cruising back bowls big mountain riding, but thats mostly what i do, i think the only resort in colorado that has true big mountain -watch your slough- riding would be silverton

i ride what you're calling big mountain, even though that doesnt exist around here. Go to a-basin and snaowmass. Rex Wherman rides basin. Also, do the colorado freeride series at snowmass. it's a 'big mountain' competition spread out over a series of three different competitions and the finals that draws the best skiers in colorado that do this kind of riding; aaron estrada, gary fondl, rex wherman, kiffer berg, tyler williams, etc... I'll be there. i actually did kind of good last year. I qualified for the finals. It should be fun agian this year.

Arice, I missed the day before the finals last year cuz I broke my self on my DH bike. It was crappy cuz I paided for the whole series. But man the second event was nice, the coverage was pretty good in most spots, but I still managed to catch a few rocks.

There's some pretty hairy stuff if you're going out the backcountry gates at the above

resorts. However the penalty for ignorance is also pretty steep.

big mountian is all I ski... not very good at those supper cool tricks kids are doing these days. But I live next to silverton.. what can i say?

I would love to get out and ski big mountian more but i live in shithole town of telluride so i really dont get out to much

i ride bi mountain on pow days and when the park is full of shitfacers a basin is the shit plenty o drops there and all the stuff off of strom king at copper is sweet

check out patrol chute after a dump can you say straghtline!! i wish too many moguls

i love the smell of napalm in the morning

snow smells good to

uncle jemimas mash liqour it will fuck you up

Ya Patrol Chute is like my first run everyday at Copper. But as far as straight lining it oges, well I'll pass. I've never been to into it, and recently it seems to have become a bit cliche. It kinda reminds me of drag racing.(Ya just going straight) Besides if you straight line it you can't hit one of the fun airs on the rocky hip skiers right.

i dont know telluride and crested butte have some carzy oh my god this is fucking steep watch my slough steeps but i think silverton really takes the cake

When the officer says: 'Gee son you're eyes look red have you been drinking? respond: Gee officer your eyes looks glazed. Have you been eating doughnuts?

SFHNC 1000/2000...half way bitches!!!!

It seems like evey time they throw up a new lift to some ridgeline you used to hike

to it just opens the door to other ridgelines and backcountry gates
