is there any other big jibbers out there besides me and philou? he is the only guy that i know of that is over 6ft tall. is there many others out there?.....im 6ft right now but still have another year or so of growin.... does being bigger than 6ft affect style and that stuff....jus kinda wonderin if any of you guys are taller guys and if it affects how you ski? i havnt noticed if it affects me cause im pretty new to newschool

I don't think it affects style at all, style is something you either have a lot of or a little of no matter what your body shape...

I'm 6'2 maybe 6'3 and I topped in at 200 lbs last night for the first time in my life...

hey. if you go to the thread on 'Ski size and height' (it might be in the equipment forum, I forget)

You will see that there's a number of people over 6 feet.

It doesn't effect your style at all, although smaller people tend to be more flexible, and more flexible people can tweak things out a little more.

But it's not all about the size. (really :P)

I'm 6 feet, 180lbs. On a jump where you get 30 or 40 or 50+ feet of air, a few inches isnt going to be noticed.

6'. 180 lbs. Jon Olsson is really big. So is Dave Chriton (sp). Shane Szocs is pretty tall to. Oh well all the girls like the biggers guys more, so were pick of the litter. Actually according to maxim a womens favorite height of a man is between 5'10' and 6 feet.

i am 184cm, 95kg, huck easy, my mate julius(member name g-dog) is like 6:6 and he is a nutter, switch 5's lincons, backys, goes nuts, height aint no problem for him.

I don't think it really matters how big you are. I'm 6'2' and 180 pounds and the only thing I've really noticed about bigger skiers is that it's easier for them to go big. Little Simon Dumont needs a slingshot into the superpipe just to get started (he's money though).

 
I am 6'4' and Jordan Monk is up here too. Height does not affect your style. Your size and weight does however affect your mauverability in the air. Now before you try to argue with me, and try to tell me that I am not a good skier or some shit, listen. It's called moment of inertia. any of you that have taken university physics will know what I am talking about. The larger an object and the heaver an object or both, the slower that object will begin to rotate, and continue to rotate. there are formulas and shit to figure this out for specific shapes of objects, but I will not get into that. The bottom line is, that bigger skiers will not flip and spin quite as easily as the smaller ones. For further questions, consult your Physics 322 textbook.

I'm 182 cms which is pretty muc 6ft- hright doesn't really affect your jibbing ability although it can be a disadvantage will skiing tight gapsdown tree runs

I wonder if im the tallest newschooler member.

im 6 foot 7 and 95kg (about 215lb) i find front flips fucking hard but its probably cos im crap at them. Also my spinning is untidy sometimes (also cos i may be crap) But my linconls and back flips are really sweet.

Go figure.

 
Im 6'4 and last season was 200lbs (im now down to 192 lbs). I mean i couldnt really say if its better to be shorter or bigger because ive always been tall. Having longer arms does help alot though. I have alot of friends that cant to rocket grabs because of their height but its probably one of the easiest grabs in my bag of tricks. I seem to get alot more boost than most guys to whether it be from my added weight or me using my legs on the take off who knows. There are a few of us taller guys out on the hills though and we rip just as hard as everyone else, plus the ladies like tall men.

i'm 6' and i tip in at about 165-170. havent had a problem doing anything a shorter person could do.
