I checked it. The take off is super flat and the snow was very deep and heavy, so I couldn't skate. One of those situations where I knew I should have backed down, but I really wanted to hit it. If I had cleared another three feet horizantally it would have been fine.

well at least you knew you were fucked right at take off so you had plenty of time to think about your dumb decision. i don't think i'd ever hit a decent cliff that slow, even if it was safe to do so. always carry some speed.
