Lets see, Im not terrorist so I dont give a fuck if the government does a background check on me randomly,
Don't care if the government looks at my text cause I don't incriminate myself over the phone,
I own one gun that's completely legal (which is more than enough to take care of any home invasion issue (Remington 870 with some slugs)).
MY point being I could give a Flying fuck about government. To be honest I didn't even vote last election cause I thought Voting for either asshole was a ridiculous choice and it was my duty as a American to help no one to get to office.

Ha if you think that Obama is militant your probably a sheltered white boy who's never been to a country with an actual militant and dictatorial government. You know places where people are actually killed for expressing ideas like yours. Also if you think that the republican party hasn't done things like this in the past or will again in the future you're a fool. What party was in control when the patriot act was passed again? This isn't a left versus right issue, both parties have and will continue to abuse their power. It's time to stop focusing on one party to the point that you blind yourself to the flaws of whatever party you identify with and start paying attention to what's actually going on.I find it hilarious that people blame all the government's problems on "the left" or "the right" when in reality both parties are fairly similar and not too far apart on the political spectrum. Every president has made corrupt decisions, its just that they're typically forgotten over time and if you think that any one of the recent "Obama scandals" are unusual in the U.S. government you need to learn your history.

Even though I support that for the most part, I don't support this though.
Its not so much the fact that they are doing it, it is the fact that our government isn't transparent at all. Glad the guy released the information. Now hopefully there can be a decent debate on the issue and if they continue doing it at least we will know.

It's funny to me that he assured the American people that no one was listening to their phone calls or reading their conversations, yet the guy that just leaked all of this info from Booz Hamilton said in an interview that he had access to everything. And he was just the IT guy. Also saying that he could have had relatively easy access to presidential phone calls. All in all, that link you posted is a fucking joke.

Actually, the government has been very transparent. On his first day in office, President Barack Obama pledged to hold "a new standard of openness and honesty." If anyone truly feels he has lived up to that pledge, may god help you. This also goes for Bush and Clinton. Obama was against FISA, until he broke that promise and many others. But he can bank shot it.

Speaking to RT the Russian president stressed that Snowden revealed "nothing we didn’t know before", adding that surveillance "is becoming a global phenomenon in the context of combatting international terrorism", and that "such methods are generally practicable".
But Putin pointed out that "the question is how well those security agencies are controlled by the public."
"I can tell you that, at least in Russia, you cannot just go and tap into someone’s phone conversation without a warrant issued by court,” Putin said answering the question of RT’s Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan.
“That’s more or less the way a civilized society should go about fighting terrorism with modern-day technology. As long as it is exercised within the boundaries of the law that regulates intelligence activities, it’s alright. But if it’s unlawful, then it’s bad.”
Commenting on Obama’s statement that “You can’t have 100 per cent security and 100 per cent privacy,” Putin disagreed, saying it is possible if done within the law.
