Big brand new interview on MICK D !!!!

obviously english isn't his first language so you have to break down the words to understand him. but everything he is saying is legit.

he is basically saying that everyone in skiing is trying too hard to be someone to be true to themselves. if that wasn't true i wouldn't see sammy dumont and simon carlson rip by in the park every 30 seconds (not literally, but people dressed up exactly like them)and do the tricks that everyone already does with the exact same style.

basically you guys are hating on the real future of skiing just because he was the only one with the balls to call out 90% of the sport. fuck ya mick!

i dont think that doing your own thing is cool at all, actually. fuck kids that dont do the same things as pros, or try anything different. If you cant do the same tricks as sammy dumont and simon carlson, why the hell should you be sponsered?
 
That interview made him sound like an idiot... the interviewer could have avoided a lot of that by actually writing the full words out..

Mik is doing his own thing, he learned to speak english from rap albums, that's just how he speaks on the internet, he's swiss english as a second language, I value what he's doing, and im glad hes coming back to compete this year. I think some of his skiing has some more style, then others, hes fun to watch.

and like what was said in here. Say it to his face, i bet none of you would.
 
no one should be immune to criticism, no matter how ugly and euro-trashy they look. all this "say it to his face" only acknowledges the problem with mik d. he spends more time cultivating his trashy gangster image than he does skiing.

but i won t hate. he is a sick skier. and he does what he wants. that s cool.

just because he is different (in fact he might be the total opposite of what i usualy apreciate, i mean chill guys for exemple more than angry gangsters etc..) doesn t mean you should hate. skiing is a big thing. there s no unique way of doing it. michael 's way is one of them.

chill out and just apreciate his skiing style.

you dont care about his life. he is a skier.
 
well he's telling us not to try to look gay. Insulting a ton of people. I don't really care if english is his second language, it's his entire message and such that getting fake G'd up is the way to go. I'm glad there aren't a lot of pros out there like him, such a negative vibe coming from him IMO. but whatever, if he wants to do his thing go ahead. He's crazy good in park.
 
I didn't think that edit was that sick at all...better stuff comes off of NS all the time. I guess I've always thought that skiing was about the skiing instead of the posturing. Although, as mentioned before, that seven was sickter.
 
As much as everyone wants to hate on mick d for the shit hes saying and the ways hes acting, you just cant. Hes still a fucking amazing skier and has such sick style you gotta throw him some props.

I don't care if he isn't good at speaking english. I don't care if he was speaking spanish. His message was negative and unintelligent.

hahaha since when do i look "hard"? or even try to pull off that image? I'm super relaxed and easy going with everyone I meet, and treat people with respect until they do something to change it. I volunteer and work with less fortunate children, and plan on going into the field of social work in a few years. Please don't act like you know, because you obviously don't. This is me, this is the image I put off.

I love riding with skiers and boaders alike and embrace and respect people's opinions and styles. I ski to have fun, and couldn't give two shits about what people are doing in the park and what is actually progressing or regressing our sport.

Personally the only thing I see wrong with where skiing is going is people who hate on others who are just having a good time skiing and enjoying life. Do people really have nothing better to do then worry about what others are doing?

i whole heartdly agree with you, and in a way in Mickeals interview, i think he is trying to say that as well, he is skiing the way he wants, and worrying about his own style.

I think those questions are rather generic for a rather unique person.
 
I agree. the interview was a little hard to read through but when you get to what he's saying he's got good points.

 
he does seem pretty cocky, but I just ahd to laugh at some points cause of the rap lingo or whatever its called.
