So i was there today for the first time.... me and my friends were 3 of 5 park skiers i saw all day... even a lift operator was like woah skiers... we were mad hated on all day, we got cut all day and when we called them out they were like were "locals" or "pros" even park crew were given us shit... were not newbs were good skiers should have got some respect but what eve....that mtn is really dominated by snowboarders...
 
that sucks. thats the number one thing i cant stand, just when the vibe is bad and nobody is friendly. i like a good vibe. i kinda thought big bear wouldve had a better vibe.
 
i was getting pissed, we saw the crew workin on the 100ft rail asked if they were gonna open the hundo rail, they were like do you see the boards in front of the rail, NO ITS NOT OPEN
 
Ya..the place is pretty cheesey like that.

You'll find a way better vide at Mt. Baldy, or Mammoth.

that bites man... i ride there all the time, and don't deal with shit like that. people are just getting weird because the snow's all melting away.
 
i did both today... but a freeheeler busting off there 40ftr should get love not hate, and any skier for that reason
 
the funny part is how they'll all take like 3 runs and then sit out on the deck for the rest of the day, 99% of that mountain is not only boarders, but posers. i was there for the big bear open and it was like that too, they're from southern cali, totally rude.
 
southern california is a hektic place. and dominated much more by snowboarding than other locations. i grew up skiing htere, and the people who are mostly d!ks are city fucks who go twice a year and dont know anything. if you let that stuff get to you, you are going to hate riding there. there are local shredders though. tahts where COKER started.
 
the park is sick, lots of ride ons though... guess im not to used to the so cal attitude. Whateve still a sick day got some good footy even though it was slushy
 
i want to make the pilgrimage there sometime baddddd.

makes me want to go there every time, even if it is a snowboaders

Sounds like you made a bad impression, or you are a gapper, i dont know.  Every  time i have gone there every one was super chill with the xception of the tipical cali-foreniers
 
Waaay better vibe. Baldy absolutely destroys bear, the only legitimate mountain in socal. I just wish it got more snow. I've never gotten any attitude at big bear though.
