Lookin for some fellow freestyle or park skiers, to ride up at big bear.. we are definatly out numbered and need to make a statment up there.. not all skiers are plowers... some of us can get inverted..... if you wanna join me i will be up there two days a week tue and wen. showing what skiers can do...
 
don't worry about making a statement. Just go ski. And when they see you do inverts they'll know you're legit.

I was at Bear 2 years ago with a few buddies over our winter break and that montain will def always have more snowboarders than skiers. Its just the way it is up there. But there were some skiers up there and they were throwin down HARD. just go up there and rep for us.
 
I used to ride there. For every 20 snowboarders you see there, there was 1 skier. Bear caters toward snowboarding. When I worked there, the owner of Big Bear Mountain Resorts mentioned to me that he would prefer all the snowboarders stay away from Snow Summit.... their marketing supports that.

Any time I saw skiers there though, they kept to their cliques. It was lame. So much for camaraderie.
 
yea half the urchins there suck ass, all tourists or onetimers, so many snowboarders tho, its like snowboarder slalom getting anywhere
 
not worth it on weekends. snowboarder slalom for sure.

i got love for the tray riders. theres a couple rippers at big bear but a lot of mexicans and kooks that are just there to snowboard drunk and get in the way, maybe take some pics for facebook
 
going to try and head up there as much as possible. if you see a nerd with black jacket + green pants on this years 180 firstbloods don't be afraid to say hi.

Its so fuking weird that all the tourists are sledding on the side of the road as you drove down......and its dirty snow
