Big air comp - X games

I would definateley like to see the pros (tanner, 3 phils, boyd etc...) hit the olympic ski jump ramps for the big air comp this year at the X-games.

Or they can just have an invitational big air comp using the ski jumping ramps. 'The salt lake city big air invitational'

Interesting.

With a vert like those jumps have, you would get tossed into an automatic backflip.

You might be able to fight it, but would probably be tough as hell.

 
in propoganda tanner hall does a switch back on one of those. which would be fighting the way the ramps wants to throw you. so it's definetly possible.

nordic ramps or aerial ramps?

aerials you CAN do uprights, etc. and nordic is insane.

i think it would be gay. why not just do it off something thatisn't a single, double, or triple, just like a launch ramp.

are you talking about areials or actual ski jumping with the spandex suits and the towers and the downhill jumps. That would be crazy. Hittin it switch or something like that would be insane. you get so much air of those. like 5 to 7 seconds or something to do your trick. that seems like forever when your in the air. I would totally like to see that. They did it for a snowboard comp in europe a few years back. You hiked up a bit of the ski jump, strapped in went off and slid this huge rail to like 25 foot drop into a big gap jump. it was pretty insane.

 
hitting those aerial jumps doesnt throw you into a backflip. just watch the warreen miller vid from a few years ago, freeriders i think? jp auclair, moseley, and other guys are hitting it throwing straight spins, fgront flips, etc. tons of stuff other than backflips. so the thing about getting thrown into a backflip is stupid

the jumps in 'freeriders' weren't full on aerial jumps though, they were cut down.

yea id like to see that, and then the year after the x games could outlaw off axis spins, and before u know it we have aerials all over again, i say bigger big air jumps.

And besides, didnt the x games get rid of big air?

yeah i saw that, it was elite, i dunno if it would be that good to go off the freestyle jumps but they should give it a try before shutting it down, then maybe in aerials they would start doing grabs and stuff after seeing how good it looks.

 
i think they should keep big air, they just need to start doin some fuckin huge shit, like cork 14 or somthin, but since nobody will b doin those for a few years i think big airs destined to disapear
