Big Air comp at Mt Toggenburg, NY Saturday January 21st, 60ft jump

Mt. Toggenburg will be hosting a big air comp put on by Monster and Lost energy drinks, Logic clothing, and The Ski Company. The jump will have two takeoffs, one at 60 feet, and the other at 40 feet.

Prizes include, 2 vip passes to warped tour, 2 vip passes for tioga motorcross, monster clothing and products, hats and shirts from Logic clothing, and gloves, backpacks, and other ski/snowboard gear from surrounding shops

There will be 12-15, and a 16 and over divisions. Girls are encouraged to come out as well. Registration begins at 11, practice at 2, qualifiers at 3, and finals at 7. Qualifiers are best 2 of 3 jumps. Top skiers will qualify for an hour jam at 7 under the lights. Finals will be judged by the competitors.

There will be a $10 fee for registration, or you can pay $30 and get a lift ticket + registrations. If you are under 18, you need a parent/guardian signature. Helmets are required.

HAHAHAHA MT.Toggenburg. Is it really going to be 60ft just like the one we have now? Ha thanks man I needed a laugh but I'll be there anyway
 
it must be sweet for all these sponsered kids because if they win and the stuff isnt from their sponsor, they can just sell it all and make a quik buck
 
Toggenburg Mtn... I am yet to ski there and always here it called togg, so thats my mistake. From what Ive been told, the jumps arent as big as they will be for the big air... I heard that the jumps now are like 40, and will be built up
 
there are no jumps anymore. they cut them down and are now blowing snow. the jumps now are 30ft at the top and 40 at the bottom. there isn't anything set up now
 
Im not sure what their plan is, but Myself and a couple other people are supposed to head down friday night to help shape the jumps for the comp on friday, so they should be pretty nice
 
know what I just realized? MY CAMERA IS COMING SO I CAN FILM IT!!!! can I be the official videographer since a few of our riders are in it?
 
heres the deal. the jump will be dual takeoff, 60 and 40 like he said. it will be a jump with not a lot of kick, lots of distance though. the prelims are judged by a set panel, including a monster rep, and possibly myself. the finals are rider judged, so this should ensure no bias. should be a good time.

That wasn't directed towards you. I'm organizing the event and also entering it, I've had some trouble with people bitching about that in the past and wouldn't like it to happen again. I think the format is fair and I don't have any advantage over anyone, I'm just making sure the competition is put on right.
 
yeah erik, all i heard about the setup, is that it wont have alot of pop on it, just distance. im not entering cuz im not too stoked on that type of jump, and my parents wont sign the waiver because my friend got messed up at it last year
 
Was he the kid that went into a coma, if so i remember that shit, it was such a "buzzkill" "bummer" "downer" or whatever you want to call it but i was really stoked before that then I was just like damn.
 
yeah that shit psyched me out a little bit. I tried to talk to him becasue i was the first one over to him and he was jsut lying there so awkwardly.
 
shit will, i didnt know u were the first one to see max. he got pretty messed up, but is doing better. sort of the same deal as cr, but a little worse.
 
nothing i my eyes will ever be as close to a cr insident as the hip session on saturday where will987654321 was almost killed when a dumbshit snowboarder jumped over him.
 
Just wanna clear some stuff up here guys... First off, inverts aren't allowed, your head can't go below your feet. Second, the jump is gonna be sick. The 40 will obviously have more pop because it's a shorter jump, but it's gonna be smooth. The 60 is gonna be big, smooth tranny, good amount of pop, but nothing ridiculous. It's gonna be big, and it's gonna be fun. Hope that clears up some stuff.
 
ughhhhhhhhhh. it blows. i doubt they (tog/lab/song) will carry that much snow,through this warm spell, because we still have 2 more weeks of 40's.
