Bibby Recall!!!

That really sucks, Moment got screwed by that bad roll of top sheet material. But daaayum! Replacing all the Bibbys? That is some customer service right there!!
 
yea, if they replace every pair, thats sick. ive never heard of that in this industry before.

lets just hope the new topsheets hold up.
 
yeah everyone is getting a new pair. Moment would not let you down, and dont be discouraged, Bibbys are the SICKest ski. I love mine so much, i would say the most versatile rockered ski around today
 
fuck i already mounted mine. and i dont wanna have to pay for mounting again. is there any way to tell whether they are bad or not?
 
Thank you for your understanding guys. We had one bad roll of topsheet come in and we would rather be safe than sorry, so we are replacing all the skis that were ordered and delivered. mad props to the moment guys for this... It sucks that they keep getting screwed with bad materials...
 
This sucks.. Mounted my bibby's last week.

Do you need the skis back?

I live in Sweden so it would be kinda pricey to send them back.
 
ok so heres my thoughts/questions, hoping the moment guys read this.

1) Is the topsheet problem merely cosmetic? because i dont really wanna pay 35 bucks for the remount just for that.

2) Remounts, is there any way to get reimbursed for that? not to be a cheapass, but im in college i dont exactly have the money laying around to pay for that

3) Is there any way to TELL if you have the bad topsheet, so you know whether you need to send em back.

4) Can we ski them, and if they fail later send them in? because that way it could weed out the bad ones, and ultimately save them money, and for those of us that have good ones it could save us the trouble of replacing them.
 
yea son I want some cheap bibbys totally buy them haah.

whats wrong with the topsheet whats so bad about it? moment should release an official statement or some shit. like im sure some people will want to keep them anyways if the problem isnt major.
 
id for sure buy some recalled ones. seriously, if they're just going to end up in the dump or as furniture, might as well ride em til they delam. what exactly is the problem? respeck for giving out all new skis, but this shouldn't be a reason to waste all that material and work.
 
So i got my email back, apparently it is a delam issue with the adhesive on the topsheets. so you DEFINITELY want to send them back.
 

"We found that our topsheet supplier failed to add the bonding procedure to the tops we use on Bibbys and Donner Partys. To fix this we will send you a replacement pair no later than Nov. 7th. The new pair will come in a box with a return shipping label. Please send old Bibbys back as they will go through a re-topping procedure. Also if youv'e had them mounted let us know. Please send us your mailing address and proof of purchase." -email from moment
