@OP I think they are stupid as fuck but thats only because our mountains snowboarders are dropouts in their parents basements wearing them.
 
I got a good solid black pair for christmas last year. I asked my mom where she got them and she said she got them from koles lol. They were really nice but they only had one tiny pocket. They were made by outdoor gear I think. I got some saga pants for this season from my friend but they are a little small so I may switch back.
 
There's a few brands that have convertible bibs, I know a few people who wear them as bibs only on deep days. I dunno, for the most part when you have your jacket on no one knows whether or not you're wearing bibs. You do you.

Got these last season and probably one of the best gear purchases of my 19yr old life.

Bibs are literally a game changer. 110%. And the Virtika ones are indestructible.
 
I rock bibs on the reg, great for pow skiing, plus when youre hiking, you drop the jacket, but your core is still insulated. Plus the bib pocket on the chest is key for just about everything!

I have a pair of strafe nomad bibs that I love. Baggy plus suspenders is the ultimate combo, the strafe is really nice because it has a built in belt around my waist (my real waist, not my hips) and the bib fits tighter than the pants so my legs are free to move but the bib stays put and keeps snow out.

And who cares if you look like a snowboarder, if you can't rock your own style on the mountain you're doing it wrong.
 
Who cares? Wear bibs if you want too. I have bibs and I love them, for all the reasons people previously mentioned. And with your jacket on you can't tell anyways. Did you know that underneath their clothes everyone is naked??? Do you homie
