whats the advantage or thought process with this? I used to think it was to show a sponsor logo on a jacket but ive seen it only a handful of times for that. Does it help with tricks? Need some competitors to weigh in

Also, contests, ditch the bibs you've got logos everywhere, give the sponsors of the riders some limelight for once.
 
I think it's to keep any tension off from the bib. If you're yanking into a quad they want everything loose. I don't think it's a style thing

my thought is that it keeps the bib from sliding up into there faces
