ok, here goes...
first off, schiller and dumont are good comp skiers, but not even comparable as all around greats imo.
second, jon must be on the level with tanner and candide. he is still progressing insanely: pioneered the kangaroo flip and stomped it like it was nothing many times in the first comp chance he had. also, he has won the swedish big mountain champs, ahead of ppl like kaj zachrisson so he actually is an insane all around skier that few ppl give him credit for.
third, you cannot take way the fact that tanner is the best comp skier in freestyle history: the results speak for themself. be that as it may, he rarely does stuff in comps that are truly breathtaking (think tj sw 1440 or candide's 2001 pipe run). he just seems to do good (not insane) stuff but really stomps it.
fourth, candide never, never stops doing truly groundbreaking shit for the sport.
-1st skier to stomp chads (age 15) and then d-spin 7s it (stratospheric at the time).
-Pipe run at X 2001 that really came to define pipe skiing
-Corked 810 to rail 2004
-Highest ever tree jib (24.5 feet, see WAR)
-Highest ever 1/4 pipe hit
-Construction and destruction of the biggest comp jump in history at his invite this year
-single handedly attracted quiksilver to buy rossi, undoubtedly a great event for skiing.
etc etc..
All this leads me to conclude that Candide is the undisputed maestro. He continually takes the sport in direction most don't believe possible owns whatever type of skiing he does. Second is Jon who doesn't get the recognition he surely deserves, esp. not in the big mtn side of things. Third is Tanner for his success in comps (well deserved don't get me wrong)
