Best way to strike up conversation with someone you don't know

What is the best way to strike up a converstation with someone you like but don't know at all? I like this guy who works at the local drugstore and everytime we see each other we make eye contact and we have talked before briefly. What is, in your opinion the best way for me to approach this guy and not come off as weird or awkward?
 
Cheesy ass pickup line or...... slap the shit out of him, lick ur lips, and say oops real slow

Then just start asking questions where he went To school, what town does he live in, does he ski.

It ain't that hard girl plus guys really like it when a cute girl starts a conversation with them. It feels really good whether it's just a casual convo or you like the guy!

ur a good looking chick. if he is looking at u he prolly wants to talk to u. just ask him whats up. see if he skis. if he does keep talking and make sure he isnt a gaper. there is nothing good about trying to make someone your project. if he doesnt. dont waste ur time.
 
real answer: just ask him to get a cup of coffee or something.

i work at a place where i get a lot of customer interaction and any time i've been asked out and said yes it was just direct and friendly.
 
Honestly, as a girl all you have to do is walk up to him and ask what he's up this weekend.

If he's into you he'll tell you something, if he's not or has no balls he'll probably have some weak excuse.
 
seriously, so many decent to hot looking girls complain about not knowing how to start conversations with guys. "hi im _____, tryna fuck?" really though, most guys would be stoked to have a girl take the initiative and just come up and talk to them.

easiest and best way. also covers all those awkward moments when he/she catches you staring at them from across the room.
 
some time the best thing to do is dive right into the weird awkwardness head first...
