Ive been skiing for a few years, and everytime I see the shows on ESPN and other stations I just wanna get more involved. Im a decent skier, got the equipment and motivation. Where would be the best place to start out? I know I cant expect to do amazing tricks right off the bat. Thanks for the help in advance.

a ski mountian would be a good place to start out

freestylin eh? if you want to be a super cool freestyler you just have to stick a bamboo pole up your ass and attempt to ski down a mogul run. Throw a 360 mute and you could win the olympics!

Start with smaller tricks, smaller rails and smaller jumps. Probably get used to getting air before you start doing tricks. Work your way up. Ride switch to get used to the movements which you will need for switch landings and take offs.

ok I'll give you a real answer not like the above 2, start off in a smaller easier park and just straight air off jumps and do some grabs till you get air awareness, the start with some easy spins liek 360s and do some rails too

yea do alot of straight airs just to get used to being in the air and work on ur landings.. and work on going switch down like an easy run or something like that

yeah definiely, you gotta just get used to tables and being in the air and get some air awareness, and start doing grabs

after a while, maybe try a simple spin like a 360

as for rails, start with somethign super easy to slide liek PVC and low to the ground, jibbing is a lot harder than it looks

and jibbing is a bitch in the beginning, don't get frsutrated, just remember kepp your weight forward and spot the end of the rail.. and you will take some bad falls, but shit happens so deal

rails are so much easier now, all it is is a wide stance and spotting where you want to go on a rail. the main thing in freeriding is dedication. like if you arent completely dedicated on a trick, and hesitate, you will eat it bad.
