Best Water Proofing solution for leather mitts?

Ive just bought some Flylow Oven Mitts and i was wondering what would be the best waterproofing wax/balm/solution to put onto the leather too increase waterproofing? Thanks

My leather mitts came with a pouch of nikwax leather waterproofing cream, Hestra makes a cream that does the same thing as well as Sno-Seal
