Best Video Camera

Hey I want to get a camera to record my stuff this year, what's a relatively good cheap video cam that you can hook to your computer?

If you understood how to sign up for the site, get into the forum, and post an icon...I'm pretty fuckin sure you would know what a video camera is...weak alias idea.

if you really look, you can find used vx2100's for pretty cheap, but they aren't gonna be 150 bones, unless they were hit by a car. your best bet is to save up some more skrill. honestly, it's really not worth filming if you're using anything less than that sony or a canon gl2.

^ what about panasonic, they make some really good cameras, better than the GLs, im getting the AG-DVC30 which is a solid camera for like 1,300. I dont know much about cameras but im beginning to educate myself, ive used it and it is really nice.

Im not sure if he needs a vx2000. If you are just gonna be filming to have the video of yourself, and do some edits, you dont need a $1000 camera, you could get away with something small. If you wana do something more serious, you may want to consider something like a vx2000, gl1, or something like that used.

the cheapest but still comparable quality cam u can get is sony trv used on ebay anywhere from 300 - 600

colors and video are all legit, the only thing that sucks is the sound but not everyone cares about that. and u can get an external mic if u want

I am hijacking this thread. Some skateboarders say that the vx1000 looks better than the vx2000 in daylight, but does this hold true for skiing?

ahha thank you finally someone says it besides me on this site

Yea especially if you tweak the vx color settings its agreed even with cannon uses that the daytime colors are the fullest and warmest looking

the only differnce with skiing is you have the intense relfection of the snow

For skiing I think they are relatively the same, because you have the snow to white balance off of making it easy to obtain a good picture. But anyways, with 150$ you could try and get an Optura 10/20...it might be hard to come across a deal like that for the camera but it is definately possible, it won't be new though.

main reason to buy vx1000 is for filming lines:

yo i dont need an insane camera, im not making a video to sell or anything

all i want is a little one that I can fit in my coat pocket

those can only get up to 20-30 sec at a time and most dont record sound, they also use the battery much faster then a straight didgital camcorder.

thats a shame that its all that you know because you are not correct. not only do most digital cameras record sound, if you buy decent batteries they can last a long time. and as for 20-30 seconds, well thats just compleate malarky
