Best University For Skiing Poll

good point. fuck frats. if u go to echo you dont get any traffic, but i dunno, i took the winter off and go in the summer, which is way easy to do here. so nice.

...dude, u smoked clearwater beach...ur a pro man...a pro. lmao.

I'M GOIN TO WESTERN STATE NEXT JANUARY! a florida beach girl in colorado. who-da thunk it?

im from seattle, so the traffic doesn't seem that bad at all. (yes, you have to drive through the same traffic to CSU, then you drive through denver traffic as well)

As far as good schools go the best is probably dartmouth which as it's own mountain and is realtively close to killington then mcgill which i hear is near mt st. saveur

if you wana go to a university that has good skiing around why would anyone stay in the east?

go to UBC or if you cant get into that(need some pretty decent marks) i heard there is a new uni opening in squamish next year but i dont know any details yet

University of Calgary.

decent school in some programs, great in others. I just graduated from there. Much easier to get into than UBC. you have skiing at COP (great park) 15 mins away, and have your pick of about 10 mountains within 45 mins to 3 hours drive. Including some of the best... Kicking Horse, Lake Louise, Sunshine, and more.

I took Kinesiology and was able to get on average 60 days a season, including those at COP. And I graduated in 3.5 years with a 3.5 gpa. So it's definately possible to ski lots, party a bit, and do ok at school.

UBC is also a good choice if you can get in, it's a better school than Calgary for most programs. But like everyone said, I've only heard bad things about SFU.

is U of U hard to get into? and i am thinking about being an air traffic controller...could i get that type of education there?

nice nice, will you be there when i get in in a year or so? and you gotta let me know what the smith rail is... i hope its alot better than wut i just did. haha me and two of my freinds set up dry rail with a box haha so fun. drop ramp with xfactor for jump on to a 10 foot flat box. in a thunderstorm ho yeah

Yeah it's a 50ft. urban rail with three mellow kinks going left to right. I'll be up there on the weekends, but 315, creighton, jpollner, crazedskier1080 and mowakskier all are going to be there. You'll have no trouble making friends up there.

grizz is good.also either colorado state or Ucol. either one of tham is in boulder ,colo.i think its UCol.anyway, boulder is in the middle of all the good ski mountains.in the middle meaning surrounded by.

No one has really said UNR....thats amazing considering what it has to offer. If you like close skiing and having fun then you might want to consider it.............

UBC...aside from being minutes away from 3 local mountains and 2 hours from Whistler, they have something called the 4X4 pass. Get 3 of your UBC friends to buy season's passes with you and they end up being about $300-350. That's crazy considering I paid $1350 for my Whistler.Blackcomb early bird season's pass. Oh, to pay $300...gotta figure out a scam...and it's been done.

Yeah, sorry, I shouldn't have said friends. You can get any 3 people to do it with you...friends or not. One grand under retail...not bad.

WESTERN STATE COLLEGE in Gunnison, 30 minutes from Crested Butte how can you beat that? look at crested butte's trail map it is so sick. and i know western state does not look that good for academics but they have one of the best science facilities and program in the state. if you major in chemistry, geology, or biology and are smart and work hard you will stand out. and do what i did last winter break and go work at one of the summit county resorts for a month so you can ski a variety of places. and even little ski resorts like monarch arent half bad because they get some of the sickest snow in colorado.

a few people have listed st. mikes, uvm, and champlain for good vt schools but really they aren't. uvm st mikes burlington and champlain are all a solid 40 minutes away from the nearest mountains, those schools are good if you're a weekend warrior who wants the big school atmosphere. i go to johnson, i'm 15 minutes from stowe and smuggs and just a hope skip and jump from jay. i have my schedule set up so i can get up and ski in the AM before classes or in the PM after school i got in 95 days this season

Isn't Gunnison one of the coldest areas in the country? My cousin went there and transfered cuz it was so miserable.

CMC Steamboat isn't bad if you are just looking to bag some credits then transfer. Though it's short on ladies when compared to a CU Boulder type of thing. But it's got a free 15 minute bus ride to the Gondola and dope trees and lots of snow.

If you are staying in the east then do PSU (Loon), MCLA (Mt Snow), Bates (Sunday River), or one of the Burlington schools.

ETH Zürich.

highest ranked school on the continent.

highest ranked city for quality of life.

you get to shred in Laax.

I reckon Innsbruck is a rad place to study tho.
