Best University For Skiing Poll

Allright, I know I want to go skiing a lot in university, and so do a lot of people on this site. Say (in as short a post as possible) what you think is the best university for skiing based not only on how close it is to mountains, but how good the university itself is (how well known it is/how good the facilities are). I will count up all of your votes on Friday June 8th. Then I will repost the top 5 or 10 as soon as possible.
 
UBC is really good. good school

like 20 minutes from Cypress, Grouse, and Seymour. then its only like 2 hours from whistler
 
and if you cannot get into ubc just try for sfu

its closer to grouse and seymour anyways

it would be perfect if it wasnt a concrete prison
 
JEA i love plymouth! and i go there, and so doesnt like every other cool kid, i can name drop like so many superstars that im friends with but lets just say its, creighton, 315, SKIIERMAN, amongst a few others
 
Not at all. Weber is in Ogden and is closer to Snowbasin and Powder Mountain, etc. Not near snowbird.
 
u of u, i got in and was all pumped to go but then my dad got sick and not enough money for that, now im gunna be in new york for another 4 years
 
Goto bowdoin or bates if you want a liberal arts education on the east coast. This means youll be learning shit that doesnt really matter and teachers will baby you so you dont have to work like a big boy. Uvm is swweet becuase its go nice mountains around it and the city of burlington is tight + lake champlaign for wakeboarding and some good skateparks around it to. Denver is also nice just a wee bit too country club for me. Uvm definetly has more interesting characters. I hear that Colorado university is sick also but my parents didnt allow me to apply because some of my friends went there and didnt graduate for seven years and they werent trying to be doctors.
 
Northeastern has a sick campus with access to the t on campus, gives a good education, is within 2 hours of a bunch of resorts in the northeast and tuckermans raveine, isnt in the middle of nowhere, and isn't in canada.
 
it kinda all depends on what kind of education you want... like if you are going someone with the sole purpose of skiing or with an actual desire to learn shit.
 
yeah im looking at plymouth state looks like its close to the hills and they got a snowboard team which is prime, basically main reason i want to go. hows the party life social life ect?
 
in one of the older issues of Freeze CU was rated the top university for skiing. while the front range is crowded how can you argue with Copper, Keystone, Breck, Vail, Winter Park, A-basin, loveland, and all no more than a 1-2 hour drive. plus the season goes from about haloween to early june
 
CU is cool but being 1.5 hours away sucks when you can be in utah, be 30 mins away, and have the best snow. only downfall is the social scene. salt lake city is boring and mormons suck
 
why be in engineering at SFU when you could be in engineering at UBC.

one more vote for UBC, for all of the reasons listed above. amazing school, awesome academics (consistantly in the top 3 universities in canada) and close to whislter/grouse/seymour/cypress. oh, and hotties too.
 
Weber state is at least an hour away from snowbird driving, and there is not bus there at all. 

the "backside of snowbird" is BC for miles.

It is the backside of snowbasin, and snowbasin is pretty sick on a good day, but it closes early, has less consistent snow patterns, and not much of a park for those off days.

U of Utah or Westminster are sick though.... def. the best, better than boulder for sure.
