i hear vw gti's are pretty good unno vr6 turbo, with huge intercoolers

mr2, 300zx, skline, stealth, 3000gt, vw corrado. not up to buy or anything i just like to hear opinions! just list all the sick tuners you can think of

It really depends on what you are into and your budget, without that people will just be shouting out car names. What do you want? What is your budget? Once I know that, i can give you some advice.

depends on the money you got to spend! but honestly whatever money you dump into it dont expect anything back..i had a 98 vr6 gti that i boosted a couple years agi and it was fun at the time..but now i wish i didnt waste my money on it. Whatever it is ,it will become your money pit.

evo for the win.

looks like you got a hat in your engine, could fuck things up if you're not careful dude. you're lucky I noticed.

i personally love integra type R's from like 2001... to bad they stopped making them really hard to find but well owrth the money imo

umm type r is one of my favorite i had a type r for a while then had type r motors in a few hondas. nothing like the sound of jun cams in a type r motor hitting vtec !!!

^ why it added that twice i dont know.

This is with a blown transmission when we took it on the street right after this an actually blew the transmission into pieces it was over 700hp.

i just got a few new little gadgets to push it over 800hp just waiting on my new dog box tranny :)

I

didn’t read other peoples post but I saw the pics (is that your evo? what are your numbers) my buddy has a 05 VIII MR Its real quick….but anyway

Are you sure this is what

you really want? Do you have car knowledge? Basics? Are you looking for a used

or new car to mod? I am just guessing used. What are you looking to add? Just a

simple cat back / BOV? Turbo...? Whats your plan / price range? Ricer? (hope not)

Yeah a WRX but im not a big fan,

But for me a Evo 03-05 would be a lot cheaper than the 06 (07 not available in the US) and we all know of the new X (The looks are still growing on me though and the numbers that thing is putting out are really letting me down i was expecting quicker than the IX and that didnt happen....…, but they are quite

pricey (and these days people dont buy a evo to just drive it around its going to be quite a challenge trying to find one that isnt beat to shit….But if your looking for cheaper car I would go with a 1998 Mitsubishi

Eclipse. They are, affordable, look great! With minimal mods and

they really catch your eye rolling down the road.

i got a 2002 gti 1.8l turbo ....i like it, runs great and pretty fast.

but i guess if you want to spend money, id go with the evo or wrx sti. they are much more expensive but soooo much better overall car.

yo can do so much mods to em too.

Actually, the STI is a bitch to work on. The boxer engine layout is super labour intensive and the STI is tuned to such a high level it is hard to squeak out more hp without serious work. Other than it's extremely restrictive exhaust system ( a dp and exhaust will guarantee noticeable gains) there is little you can do to the car without going to a bigger turbo and fuel management etc etc, more than simple bolt ons that most kids on NS are comfortable with. You can not just crank the boost like you could on a stock 1.8T VW with its beefy internals and low stock boost.

That would be true for an STI, but if he went with a stand WRX, he could have a lot of fun working on it. You can do a ton of things to them. I have an 02 wrx and I love it, I have a huge list of things to do to it, just takes time and money haha.

Honda S2k. One of the best/most fun cars for the money (10 k w/30,*** miles for the 01-02's). RWD 250 hp non turbo, 400whp with turbo and minor mods. Handles great, drifts, fast. Just make sure to find a hardtop.

Yea, alot of the cars here aren't exactly tuner cars. You can't do too much more with some of them without dropping serious money into it. The cheaper cars you'll find are usually better to "tune" because you can go different ways. With things like the Evo or WRX, you're going to buy things that won't do too much performance difference unless you spend a several thousand on it. Something like a civic hatchback you can just easily throw a new engine into it, with some bolt-ons and do some timing work for a couple thousand, and that's what tuning really is, or a GTI's stock 1.8T (not vr6) can be tuned for good performance upgrades for relatively cheap.
