Best true park skis OUTSIDE of the park?

I'm narrowing down my new ski selection for this year. I'm pretty much deciding between the Walls and Anthems, but I'm starting to get a little interested in the Reno Jibs and the Suspects. Anyway, I'm looking for a solid park ski that can still rip on the rest of the mountain, since I have a lot of friends who don't ski park and I spend a fair amount of time everywhere else. Also, I live in MN, so when I say all mountain, I mean hard pack, ice, and groomers. I'm 5'10" 175lbs.

So, who can help me evaluate how these skis ride outside the park?

Thanks for the help!!

Walls ski really nice on groomers. The old Troublemakers and Scratch FS WRS/Ghetto are the nicest skiing park skis I've been on though.

Yeah Rossi park ski are really good outside park.. This years S4's are the same as the Scratch's FS WRS and getto. You should get some

I would say the Jibs man. I have ridden the walls as well but preferred the Jibs so much more.
They are a lot lighter, like so much it is noticeable.
they are snappier and have a ton more pop than the wall. They also look way sick.
Their edge hold is unmatched on a park ski (in my mind)

The anthem would be too soft for a well performing all mountain twin. But will be fun to Jib and slash around on.

jibs are cheaper than all of them other than the anthem too and the quality is far superior.

Where do you ski?

all those skis are great, but the 08 dumont kills in park, and also rest of mountain so take a look at those.

I'm definitely intrigued by the Jibs, but there aren't any local shops that carry them... I'm always hesitant to buy anything that I've never actually seen in person, but who knows. As far as graphics go, I actually like the Anthems the best, but that's the last thing I'm worried about.

I ski mainly at Welch and Lutsen out here in MN. I don't make it out west enough to really use that as input in buying skis since 95% of my skiing is in the Midwest (sad, I know).

the walls are only good outside the park because of the good ol' volkl stiffness, but I've seen many a messed up wall, the durability of that ski isn't fantastic. I'd tell you to try the jib, still stiff, but lighter and more poppy.( i know someone said that, but they were right)

arent they the same as suspects (they are as far as,dimesions, hey are made the same?) i think u are nly pay ing more for the name and double edge armour

too soft. It is great for mellow trees/pow days, but if you are doing something that is intense, or just going fast on groomers, anthems=noodles.

But, I love my anthems.

dude you your paying really al lfor the name, but thats the 09 dumonts.the 08 ones are the ones with the sunset on them and capped side walls

Freebird isnt really a true park ski

it was designed for the whole mountain

The freebird will rip anything though soi highly recomend them

That's kind of what I'm afraid of. I'm sure they'd be awesome in the park and for softer snow (which exists maybe once a season out here), but I don't want something that'll be a total noodle when flying down groomers... so is that the case?

I have Fujitives right now, which are total noodles. How do Anthems compare to those as far as high speed stability?

it was the original moment ski for park. until the jib replaced it. also to add, the scratch fs/ gheto/ s4 is good outside the park

To a fellow MN rider:

it really dosent matter, I ride my JO's literally everywhere(i do have 2 pair so one still has good edges) ive used them on: ice, groomers, pow, park, trees, 15ft cliffs, and urban. The thing u are really looking for is a ski you like flex wise. I agree that ur K2s are too noodly. Go to a shop find a ski with the flex u like, and go rip. You dont need a special ski to ski certian things, it makes it nicer but I have a one ski quiver...well actually 3 if u count both pairs of JOs and my race skis. Id say go get some JOs cause they are the shit, but different strokes for difrent folks. Go to pine or summit and ask the ppl there you should be able to find something you like.

ya i guess tah is right

but on there site last year they described it as turning into an all mountain ripper

It will slay almost everything but deep pow so Id recommed them

Lib tech NAS ......those kill it outside the park. Magne-traction holds real well on the ice and carves like a racing ski
