it starts with an old school move the twister to one side but you rotate your body 180 the other way, and then bring your skis back around to land switch.

Back like a year ago i saw a vid on NS that had this one kid that did a 360 to rewind 180. So he did a full 360 and then changed directions in mid air and did a 180 to land switch, he went pretty big to do this too.

 
I would imagine thaat this would look somewhat awkward. I would like to see it.

rewinds have been around for quite a while now, although the ones I'm familiar with is a 360 where at 180 you stop rotating and twist back teh other way and then finish the rotation. Karlstrom does a sick one in Ready Fire Aim. In War someone does a cab 7 with a rewind in teh middle but I can't remember who it is.

a "rewind" is a mid spin variation...

for a rewind 360...the skier rotates his/her uppper body in the opposite direction of the spin..more of an optical illusion...your not really roating the oppsite way, just letting your lower torso/legs get ahead of your spin while your chest/shoulders stay focused on some object to the side of the jump...

720 rewinds look sick - it almost looks like the rotation stops for a fraction of a second

many things that happen are actually physically impossible. scientists cant explain why a soccer ball has so much drall when shot right.

theres a difference between a shifty and a rewind

whoever said karlstrom is right but i think it might in be X...not sure though. anyways, yeah a rewind is a 360 twister with the twist starting the opposite way your spinning then sort of over rotating you to 450, being brouight back to 3.

a shifty is a half twister that is held to one side. it also looks good with a seatbelt grab.

it is physically possible because you never actually stop spinning, it just creates the impression that you have because your lower body is turning back the other way.

No, I swear, like a year ago i saw a video on here of a kid that did a 360 to 180 "True Rewind." I most definitly know what a shifty is, and what i saw was not a shifty; unfourtunatly i doubt the video can be recoverd, unless the orinal contributer re-posts it.
