So looking for a little help here! My friends and myself (juniors and seniors in HS) are trying to plan a week long trip out to a resort in CO..most likely Breck as of now. Whens the best time of the year to go for some major freshies as well as when the parks will be at their peak in quality?

Our breaks are very limited this year unfortunately, so as of now, its looking like early-mid march is going to be the time frame of when we'll be taking the trip...

(never been our west, or even out of PA for that matter, so thats why im coming to you guys for some help cause i have no idea)

Thanks a ton!

march is usually pretty good, some big dumps usually

id say from my experience february is the best month,

but we usually get at least one or two good dumps from december til may

March will be a good month for sure! Snowiest month + good temperatures (though the temps in CO are usually always good, especially for Easterner's who are use to humid weather).

PM me if you have any more questions. I'm always down to help get the legit tourists in town and weed out the gapes. Haha!

Yea but dont come in April here because it never snows, its crowded, cold, and never sunny either.

...The last two weeks of ABay in April last year we had freshies for two weeks straight with absolutely zero lift lines. That was the best riding I did all year.

Errrrr, I mean yeah, listen to him. ;-)

speaking of which who remembers when Breck used to be open until the first weekend of May? That was sick, it has been a long time but those last couple weeks of April were the best, get there at ten and ski bump runs off of six chair all day.
