oh fuck im going to win this thread unless someone got a $1 car or something
this summer in a tiny town in northern ontario, I went to a church run thrift store that is open two days a week. the store is just an old house, full of stuff. you pay $5, they give you a garbage bag and you can take whatever you want, as long as it fits in the bag.
So for $5 I bought 15 items. that gives an average price of about 33 cents per item. here is one of the things that I bought that day for ~33 cents
synthetic down (primaloft) jacket from a UK brand called Rab, which I had never seen before so I believe its a smaller company here in north america. The jack was literally brand new, completely perfect condition. looked like it had never been worn.
it sells for about $250 USD (140-180 GBP)
doing the math, I got a discount of 1-(0.33/250)=0.99868
so i got it 99.87% off, in perfect condition.
