blue has this crazy thing called a landing, louis has a pile of snow, it also has people who work there every day fixing everything. the only thing that was good at louis was the v.i.p line.

Blue is def the best, but their park tech staff seemed really lazy this year. Alpine #3 thats just funny

I never went to Blue this year, but I would say that either Louis or Kirby had the best park this year.

kirby had an ok park but i didnt like it that much....didnt have all that much flow to it....u couldnt hit like one whole side of rails then the big table becasue of lack of speed.

well louie had a really smooth pipe this year i thought, but some of the blue hits werent well done, almost died on the 50footer because the run-in wasnt friggin long enough even if i hiked higher than the chairlift drop off

blue and louie are both sick, its true tho louie dosent have big landins on there jumps i tore my acl over shootin once last year, but louie still has a really sick park, alll they need is a park pass and it will be boom!

i've been telling my boss that Louis just isnt ranked number 1 AND IT HAS POTENTIAL TO BE! i mean fuck at least they know where to put in a superpipe.. *cough cough Blue*

anyways. what do you kids want to see improved at louis.

I was living in BC the past 2 years so i havent skied Louis and i dont know where they need improvement. YOU GUYS DO! give me the dirt on what sucked last year and what new features you want to see this year. IM trying to get a better slopestyle format for this winter and possibly open up the run under the pipe with more rails.

So give it to me straight. what do you want to see up there and ill try my best to get it for you.

alpine is 2 hills to the rigth of blue. go up and snake some runs in the park next season.. its pretty sick. and i agree about that super pipe shit at blue.. it should be filled in and have tons of rails and medium jumps.. and the whole right side should be 4 tight jumps going 50. 55. 55. 60ft.

heck yup.

we just bought a 6th cat at louis. we will have 2 cats devoted to the park every night now. one will only work half nights but it is the new park bully and should nail the walls of the pipe.

as for boxes. ill talk to my boss tomorrow. common guys. if you want louis to be epic and kick blues ass you gotta let me know what needs improvement. i wasnt living in ontario the past 2 years so i have no clue.

but my boss doesnt think that "freeskiing" has "taken off "and isnt very keen on putting in alot of new effort. but im doing everything in my power to convince him otherwise.

im also trying to get alot more competitions going at louis. would you guys be commited to comming up for weekly comp series? and ive also been thinking of trying to host an event that will compete with the triple challenge. i have some great sponsors lined up already... i just need to show everyone that people are interested...

blue was the best for big air louie was the best for flow and i have to put good old dagmar in there for best place to learn and get your tricks down

 
It doesn't really matter what alpine has, since it is a private club, so unless your want to join it, its unlikely many of us will ride it

I have a membership at louis, id like to see, some more creative rails. Something different that no one else has ( we DO have the unique s rail) I think we have....5 boxes, but i think its cool. But the only thing for bioxes i could see, is more tecnical boxes. We do have a flat down, but if we could have a dfd or an up fdf that would be sick. I think louis pipe was so sick last year i really enjoyed it. Im llooking forward to hopefully seeing a lot of variety next year at louis.

oh thats the infamous quad kink at alpine!!! i was thinking 50 feet of pure adrenaline pumpin kinkness the way its been described.

ill sum up all the private parks because im a member at one:

Osler: Osler really stepped up there park this year. it finally got a table that was 35 ft. and worth hitting and was kinda fun. got good air off of it. near the end of the year we got a nice little rail line set up with a small box, down box or small flat down rail, then a 20 ft. straight rail or really really fun flat down flat rail. that is all we really have. it then goes to a little butter jump that was fun to just play around on. then our stupidly small gay ass pipe that sucked complete fucking dick. then a shitty table that hurt but was good. it had two options of bigness so pretty cool. then an up box which is fun to just hit then 180 out of it. thats the park

Beaver: this is a pretty fucking sick park. it could be amazing but still lots of fun. it starts off with either a jump line with really gay table/kicker jumps or a rail line with a kinda rainbow-down rail combo thing then a steep flat down rail or a hip, to a down rail. the jump line was about a 15ft, 20 ft, 20ft, then a really fun jump that was probably 30ft. beside the 30 footer was a nice 20ft. flat rail which was nice and smooth. this went to a little freestyle area jump which they hold the comps on to a flat down box (fun) or a triple picnic bench combo which was super super sketchy shit. they tried to make a quarter because they dont have a pipe (yet getting one in 2 seasons for sure) and this thing was an uphill to wall thing that was stupid. but it was a good attempt none the less. they had a super mellow flat box which was super good to do whatever you wanted onto and off. thats the end of that park and it was pretty sick. for sure check it out.

Georgian Peaks: this park hac the potential to be good but not a long enough run to be really worth checking out or anything. the park is loaded with boxes. i cant tell you the exact layout but ill tell ya what they got. a flat down flat box and a down flat down box. rainbow box, straight box, 15 ft. high rail, three jumps from 10 ft, 15ft, 20ft. Then a wallride which was lots of fun to just go up and stall or a super sketch c box. still fun. so thats all the features i think. only went there once so not super sure on the features. Then they have a pipe but its like oslers. super small and kinda sketch. fun for a little run of stalls and stuff but no blue pipe.

ya so thats all the private parks i know about hope it gave you a good idea of them

alpine has a sick snake line full of straigth rails, jumps, hips rainbow rails a 4 kink more jumps, and a 40 foot cheese wedge that puts you up in the air. pretty much the snake run makes it sick seeing how you can cruise through teh park weiving through features where you have options of takign 2 different paths. woah yeah dude. only gay part is you have to snake the lines.
 
ps. devils glen is investing 36,000 into thier park and hired steve speissman old designer for blue... either shits gunna stink like a pakie or be dirty like the smell of fresh poon
 
i don't think holding a comp at louis at the same time as the triple challange is a very good idea (if that's what you ment by that), but if you were just saying that you want to hold a comp that will rival the triple challange in size, not be in direct competition with it for rider attendance than yea, good idea.

anyways - we need more crew rivalries... HJS FOREVER MOTHA FUCKAS!!!) hehehe...

but seriously - blue's pipe isn't competition friendly... considering you got like what 3 hits till you're out of speed.

I also have a mmber ship at louis and there was a dfd rail last season. the red one under the chair was a dfd rail.
 
hmm last time I checked it was in working order, see the thing is that I dont get to travel all around Ontario and personally check out every terrain park. From what I HAVE skied Louis and Kirby had the best park as of last year.
 
I worked at Louie for 3 years and grew up riding park there... I also have to admit that I havent really ridden there in the last 2 years very much... but what i found was the whole snaking issue gettin snaked by a 5 yr old off the big hip under the chair wasnt cool... and the fact that there are SO many flippin snowboard comps that most weekends that pipe if not the whole park was closed due to the comp... that and if there is a still a pipe under the highspeed quad something has to be done about the fences and the trees cause i know kids ended up in the trees or gettin smoked by someone ducking the fence and droppin in low in the pipe... i HONESTLY dont know if these things still happen they may or may not but I know thats what i found back in the day... that and they never used to groom the pipe on the weekends!!

As for blue... snowmakin in the park never seems to be a big deal... so it gets pushed aside and not thought of till later on in the year when its almost to late to redeem themselves... and yah holding an event at the same time as Triple Challenge, event suicide cause it will take a while or REALLY good sponsers to pull it off and get the spot like on your event your better bet would be to run it the week before or after until it can prove itself and deem itself worthy!!!!
 
last year, at louis, when there were kids who couldnt ski, or people who couldnt, the guys at louis, would punch a hole in their ticket, showing they shouldnt be going up the chiar. Everytime i went there the outback was grommed everyday (well on weekends anyway)

there will be (aparently) a lt of ski comps there this year, who knows

wel, since iv been there, theres only one, that goes behind the pipe, and connect with the longer trun that take you back to the chair.

You used to be able to, when you got of the chair, go to the far left and that little opening led to a another cpouple runs, but for the last 2 years thats been gated for that reason, so really only one, im assuming one because people who dont know how to ski and dont know the lift cat just go down the back. I think?

and yea, we need some bigger jumps this year!
 
it would be sick if they made the green run that leads you to the outback chair a little jib park cus its perfect not verysteep and pretty long
 
louie was pretty sweet had some good jump and a nice set up.. but u cant go wrong with blue they always have a pretty sick park set up every year
 
hope louis puts up another nice park, it was fun screwing around in the smaller park, the only thing that sucked there last year was in the Outback Park, the straight box had an incredibly steep drop of an outrun which was a suprise when I came off switch, sure I was gonna die

If you dont want to tour for a couple of hours up to collingwood, lakeridge for jumps, dagmar for rails and kirby if you want to look like a hero.
 
what is this? louis by far. blue is a joke if you ask me, waaaay further and night skiing will hinder any park. because louis is open from 9 to 4 usually, they have all night to groom and manicure their parks. go there in the morning, its majestic.

ok, there is a clear difference betweent he MSLM parks and the blue parks, IMO louis is way better. what ive got it down to now is that the only difference is that blue's is mad trying to make money, and louis parks were and always will be made with love
