Best tasting protein shake

Hey there NS

I'm looking for the best tasting protein shake out there that has the following qualities:

- Easy to mix up, doesn't get all clumpy

- Contains whey protein but preferably little else like creatine

- can be ordered online

- works to help gain muscle mass in addition to consistent workouts (lifting, biking, xc skiing)

and lastly

IS VERY GOOD TASTING!!

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP NS, I KNOW YOU'VE GOT MY BACK

thank you for your comment...

perhaps I should also specify... im 140 lbs, 5'11", so I'm a skinny dude. I do workouts 3-4 times a week consisting of biking for an hour, many pull ups, many push ups, many sit ups and occasionally the use of free weights. I'm not looking to gain, but to hopefully put on 5-10 lbs of muscle. hope this helps people with their responses.

thanks all----

i like optimum nutrition double rich chocolate. tastes great with milk and fine with water.

i'd get the gold standard one though. has bcaas in it which helps your muscles repair themselves. don't forget your carb supplements as well. they go hand in hand with protein supplements.

Allmax isoflex is the best tasting whey shake i have ever mixed. i mix it with milk in a blender because i like the frothy taste but you can easily mix it with a spoon and it still wont clump at all. at a spoon of creamy peanut butter to it and it becomes dessert.

BSN Syntha-6 is a great protien drink like mentioned it is expensive but also prvides great nutrients like potassuum and enzymes to make the chemical reaction process go faster.

i would reccomend cookies n' cream very tasty and EAS makes some good ones that are already made up for you kinda like a juice box

Hope i helped

1 scoup of vanilla whey

1 cup of 1% milk

1 Tablespoon of peanut butter

1 whole banana

ice

it taste amazing, its so good, like a milk shake. but you can also add what you want, throw in creatine and what not if you want

i feel that the bsn stuff is more of a protein shake for people who don't eat properly though out the day. hence the reason behind taking it several times during the day because it delivers its nutrients slowly.

i don't know what the kid above me is taking about with a fast chemical process, but you're wrong. it contains casein protein as well as whey protein. casein turns into gel in your stomach which delivers protein slowly. and this gel probably also inhibits the whey isolates absorbtion.

if you want a fast delivery of protein which is necessary after your workout for your pwo meal then go with optimum nutrition whey protein gold standard.

syntha 6 would be likely taken before bed so your body can breakdown the protein and it will deliver all the nutrients your muscles need to repair them while you sleep. of course this could all be supplemented with cottage cheese and nuts.

remember to eat another meal an hour and a half after your shake. if you don't think you can do this because say you have to go to work and you won't get to in an hour and a half then go with bsn. if you know you'll be able to eat then go with the ON's.

really though, be a man. buying a good tasting whey protein even though it might not contain the best proteins for you is like buying a plank of wood because it has the best graphic ever made in skiing ever.

SOOOOO GOOD

this doesn't help you build muscle because its low carb. all it does is protect muscle from breaking down during a cut. if you are trying to put on muscle you have to supplement with maltodextrin and dextrose (both carbs) that will increase protein synthesis.

and this is an ion exchanged whey protein which isn't as good as other microfiltered proteins.

you lose a lot of important of important amino acids during the ion exchange process, such as glycomacropeptides, immunoglobins, and alpha lactalbumin. what you're left with after the ion exchange process is a high amount of beta-lactoglobulin which is a dirty amino acid.

optimum nutrition 100% whey is pretty solid. good results, good taste. i usually just mix it with water. i just finished up my tub of chocolate and i liked it. ordered cookies and creme so we will have to see what thats like

in all honestly, all the stuff posted is a rip off. All you need is chocolate milk. It has the optimal 4:1 carb:protein ratio for post workout absorption, and you will save a shit load of money. Don't buy into the unnecessary workout supplement crap you dont need

omgz proteinz and creatinez iz steroidzes!

yea chocolate milk works fine and if you aren't setting any serious goals then you probably wont notice any difference if you used chocolate milk for a month and whey for a month. but like stated above chocolate milk lacks some bcaa's and because it is milk it is about 80 percent casein and only 20 percent whey which makes it a slower digesting protein, albeit it does have the simple carbs needed for an insulin spike post workout. but anyways my main reason for posting is because i just hate it when people think that a protein supplement is like a prohormone or a steroid. and sorry if my internet sarcasmometer was a bit off but your seriousness was certainly convincing to me.

this was the first thing that came to my mind too as soon as I read the op. I've tried a million different kinds of shakes and this is definitely the best out there.

No, I don't think that supplements are steroids. It's kind of a joke we have around where I live because a lot of kids really do think that supplements by themselves will make you bigger.

Get Whet. it tastes like a chocolate milkshake and it brings good results..i started buying it after i took a weight training class in highschool and it really helps.

get muscil milk, its really good and pretty expensive, so mix one scoop of this with one scoop of regular cheeper whey protein still tastes good and isnt as expensive i use to mix it in water just to cut out the cals and it still tasts good

Muscle milk tastes GREAT but it isn't a great protein shake. It is full of sugar and other crap. The only time the people I know who use it do so is right before bed to keep their metabolism up while they sleep.....Otherwise....there are a lot better after-workout protein shakes.

Just mix it yourself. I buy this stuff called "Profusion Protein" and it is really good, mix that in with some oatmeal/vitamen supplement/fruit.

hahah wtf^^

yea btw never ever get whay protien. i think it tastes like shit. so for syntha-6 its fucking orgasmic. costs a bit but all good in the end

you have no clue what you're talking about.

there is whey in syntha-6.

if you don't know what you're talking about keep your mouth shut. and we already went over syntha-6.

thanks.

By the way, if you are really trying to get the best out of your supplements, it probably won't taste great. I really dont mind because it shouldn't be how good it tastes, but how much I am helping my body in its quest to become the worlds strongest man.

look for a weight gainer protein if you're trying to put on muscle. friend of mine at school is using something (i don't pay attention to weight gainers cuz it's the opposite of what i need) but it's working well for him.
