Best Symmetrical Ski...dicuss

I'm still not sold on the idea that a symmetrical ski is best for park, just because I know I hold my weight and turn differently when I'm going switch...

Concept>Trouble Marker>Crichtions are pretty much all the same ski & sidecut. One of the best park skis ever made.

I butter Legend Pros like there's no tomorrow. Super playful ski...................

a lot of people hate on the addicts because they got hyped up last year but i love mine. they ride well. they would be a little more fun if they were softer, but they are still sick.

no he's not. To go anywhere moderately steep it requires a change in your stance. It's a lot harder to stay balanced overtop your skis and execute both tail and nose parts of your skis in the turn. So yeah, they do suck outside the park. Especially in the off-piste, where you actually have to deal with different conditions other than groomed snow.

Although it's not out I'm gonna say the Nordica Zero will be up there soon.

130-104-130, 0 camber

not true. They are a bit more difficult in trees and steeps, a bit different in powder, but other than that they rule outside park.

my addicts are sexy and i like them outside the park. the invaders are too squirrely for me but i havent been on the anthems or the walls

I agree that symetrical skis aren't the best outside park, so just don't ski out of park. Or by a second (or fifth) pair of skis.

because i ski at alyeska, where we dont have a park and we have natural features that have really steep in runs where you just kinda see the jump and point it from wherever you are bouncing off moguls and such. and they work great

i agree, i have some invaders but i dont ski them hard anywhere but park since i got them used and they have no edges. so i cant really compare them non symetrical twins fairly.

i will say that i am a HUGE fan of symetrical flex.

you probably have never use twin tips then. You also have probably never tuned a twin tip ski if you do ski the park. really any park ski can rip outside the park. I also know that the fischer freestyle line up skis like a race ski outside the park.

I ski my 08 invaders all mountain, unless there's new snow, then i use the Scratch BC. i have yet to have an issue w/ my invaders all mountain.

urban punx are symetrical too

i like the punx a bit better tho.

the punx are super fun, perfect flex for presses and butters, uber light, and a bit more sidecut then the urban punx.

its more the flex than anything that determines how they ride outside of park, i mean a symmetrical ski is gonna work better outside of park, than a regular directional ski center mounted. plus if you really need more ski outside of the park use a different ski specifically for that.

i have been ridin twin tips since i was 9 now i am 15 i think i kno what i am talking about. i can ski all mtn. i am no park rat i do ski park a lot tho just allot of all mtn

just rode my anthems predominantly all mountain today (didnt really like the temp park setup) and the fucking rip, for being 93 underfoot, theyre super quick edge to edge

I love the stability of my Addicts, and they are completely bombproof. They handle groomers really well, but sink like rocks in any sort of pow. And if only they were a bit lighter, but the stability makes up for it.

Moment Reno Jibs are the funnest park ski I've ridden. They are symmetrical but ride great everywhere. Super light and poppy.
