stable at speed on groomers and easy to turn going switch. would it be a center mounted symmetrical ski, i've never skiied one but want to give it a try? how are the chronics, anthems, Ar6, or Arv. any input would be appreciated,
chronics kill it switch. i heard that last years dumonts can be mounted forward a bit so there is more room behind your binding, making it easier to ride switch.
I have addicts and they are sick for carving switch at any speed, even when it gets pretty choppy. In fact, earlier today I was charging the slalom training course at my hill switch with Addicts after they were done for the day. Invaders are fun as hell too, but once you start maching and get into chop they chatter no matter which direction you are facing.
I've ridden tons of park skis, but my prophet 100's and my prophet 90's both mounted at -2 from true center have been the absolute best fakie carving ski i've ever been on. And i've been on a LOT of skis.
Skis come and skis go, my friend. And mrstskier... I would believe the claim on the prophet 80's. the whole prophet series are super solid and all have large shovels combined with an overall stiffer ski. They bite harder than any park ski..
ADDICTS!!! can't say enough good things about them, I have had more fun on them then any other ski i have tried. Switch is a peice of cake, and before them i hadn't done a lot os switch skiing.
i rode my liberty hazmats today and they slay it switch, despite being mounted -2.5 and having a little bit of a shovel. they ski switch better than my symetrical k2s, which just kinda slide around and don't lock into a carve. my volkl SL skis slayed it switch on groomers too cause they were super turny.
and i've heard amplid C7s are a real fun carving switch/forward ski
My 4FRNT TNKs are pretty good for making really long switch carves. I've also heard about the Amplid C7s being great for switch carving and they have a super short turn radius. Scott Punishers are supposed to be good to because they're stiff and have a tight turn radius as well.
Bro just get a pair of slalom skis and mount them backwards.but in all seriousness, maybe get the jester schizo on a symmetrical ski so that you can have it -3 for going normal and have it +3 if you want to carve switch.
