Built my setup early last fall and have been fixing it up a bit. I dont think my setup is that great, there are many out there. What is the best summer setup u have seen? Post pictures to give me ideas on how to improve mine.View attachment 644696

Mines not finished, but when it is I'll post a pic... As long as you can make it on to the rail and ski away your set up is fine... Who cares how good other people think it is?

I like to think my drop in is perfect.View attachment 639116

If you invested in some mSnow to replace that slow turf you'd have a real nice setup actually. Too bad it's expensive as shit at full price.

I used to have problems, but i added sideways pvc pipes to the top which helps alot. Im thinking in investing in some msnow to replace it though

i think it got potd a week or two ago, kid had a down tube and a landing and everything looked perfect, cant find the picture on my phone doe

You coulda saved a lot of money and made it even faster if you spaced it out at the top, no need for 100% coverage on the drop.

I actually used turf and water on this same ramp last summer.

There's no comparison. Turf doesn't even touch mSnow. Should have gotten on that sale

How many tiles did you have to get for that? and how much did that cost for you at your sale price?

my situation sucks, i have to setup mine everytime. my dad wont let me keep it up.

but i do still have a way to ski during the summer.

I'm still too scared to hit this switch.

Anybody out there who's hit theirs switch? is it certain death?

It depends. mine is turf so when i tried i ate shit like 4 or 5 times. but after a few hits u get accustomed to it. its hard to not carve at all when hitting it switch though. u have to commit. if u bail....... ur screwed

Your's looks relatively easy to drop switch on. My old was step as hell with a tighter transition that you kinda had to pump to get the speed, so switch was really hard and scary. Just go for it without the rail at first and build yourself up. Get switch lips for dayzz

this is my setup. about a 50 degree drop. hell fucking no i haven't hit it switch but it's super fun, more than enough speed

and these are all of my rails

two 10 ft boxes

one flat 14 ft rail

two flat 5 ft rails

one up 10 ft rail

three flat 8 ft single barrel rails

i have plastic chicken fencing on the top part of my drop in, you can see it is a slightly darker green. but really just get short turf, make sure you staple it on with the grain in the right direction, and after a while it will get faster. i think your skis also have to get accustomed. i don't know really.

i don't even soap it anymore. just water gives me plenty of speed.

I might be completely wrong but I feel like it makes you stick to the turf. I have mSnow on my inrun and turf as my landing and it's really weird for the first few hits after I wax up because I stick to the landing.

Anyone have a setup where they just use a natural hill?? I wanna see some pics cause that's what I'm workin on

I use one but I also put plywood on the hill to keep the turf on the hill ( it keeps turf from blowing away). The plywood also makes the setup faster. Pics next week probably cuz I'm on vacation now

that could just be because you gained your speed on the m snow, and then caried your momentum to the turf, which killed your speed.
