Best socks for warmth

I'm kinda a pussy when it comes to warmth--I already wear thin socks to allow blood flow etc., etc., but I need warmer socks. I know alpaca wool is good, but if anyone has experience and can recommend me some ideal socks that don't compromise performance with tons of warmth, that'd be great.

costco has some nice wool ones that come in a 3 or 4 pack for like $14. i run them all the time and i’ve bought like 4 packs

I bought some socks from smartwool. they aren't overly bulky but keep my feet incredibly warm. Definitely invest in decent socks

Darn Tough, Smartwool, and Lé Bent are my personal favorites, with Darn Tough having the best thin socks in my experience

Haven’t worn anything but darn tough and smart wool for years, I think most of them are merino too ?

people are dogpiling on this for some reason but i've def seen Kirkland Signature (Costco's premium brand) socks that are thin merino wool guys that seem to fit the bill for sure

i'm not a merino wool sock-ologist and if you have particularly cold feet maybe you should go for the serious brands like Smartwool etc but if i had to bet, those costco ones would work well and get you more for your dollar so you can not be wearing the same stinky socks all the time

It’s like 20% merino vs others being upwards of 50%

just checked out of curiosity and they're "Made in the USA, Content: 57% Merino Wool" and last time i checked (i was really bored) smart wool ski socks are 50-something % wool as well so yeah. sounds like a good option to me
